This is a great show. I fell in love with Roscoe (played by Willa Fitzgerald) right from her first lines. The chemistry in this show is fantastic. It's been out for just over 5 weeks and I've seen the series 4 times now.
Other than her saying "Dont make me kick your ass" or something to that effect which was dumb because writers always want to make the chick into some badass and her saying that to a giant dude was just weird but I liked the rest of the series nonetheless
@@jxstified7558 if you pay attention to her voice and facial features she says that in a sarcastic manner in an attempt to take his focus off of the aggression of the other officers and defuse the situation by distracting him. Which you can see works based on Reachers posture change and facial expression relaxing right up until the chief gets involved.
This show is so goooood! I couldn't help but binge it.
I've never read the books but everyone I have spoken to who have read them,say this is the best portrayal of Reacher,that Alan did an excellent job at being Reacher. Just love his dry humour as well 🤗
A very large man that likes conflict! The jail fight scene is very violent yet as believable as possible, he took serious shots but destroyed the other men he was facing! The casting of this character was perfect!
By the way, I was cracking up as you watched and waited for your wife's reactions. LOL. One reactor watching another. Too cute. Being that we know which scenes will likely spark a reaction, I waited for her reactions too. I hope you two continue to cover Reacher. It is such a great show which immediately got upped for a 2nd season. Also, I love Superman and Lois reactions as well. Another great show.

We have done quite a few shows that are not superhero related at all if you go through our playlists. Halo, Chucky, Cobra Kai, Midnight Mass, Ted Lasso, Heels, Panic, Resident Evil, Cruel Summer, Sweet Tooth, Mare of Eastown, and The Mighty Ducks. There were a few more but those are the ones i can think off the top of my head.
Alan makes you totally forget that Tom Cruise did the two movies

I loved watching this series with my dad & am enjoying watching folks react to it on CZcams & this is one of the best I’ve seen so far even though it’s just the pilot

This going to be long-winded, so I will apologize in advance for that.
I've read and/or listened to all of the Jack Reacher books. This is probably the best adaptation that could be done unless they decided to make it true to the time period. Some of the things missing are Reacher's internal dialogue and planning as well as some of the character's idiosyncracies; like his uncanny ability to know exactly what the time is. Not easy things to convey onscreen.
Comparisons:
Platform-Feature Films vs Amazon Series? Winner--the series. Reason--time. Films have to be limited to 2 hrs, which means a lot of editing. Too much. Series can go on as long as needed to tell the story and develop the characters.
Actors--Tom Cruise vs. Alan Ritchson?
Winner--Ritchson. Cruise did a great job, but Ritchson brings the imposing, menacing presence that Cruise just can't. Ritchson did an outstanding job is his own right and benefits from the expanded medium.
Anyhow, it's a great series with more great action and fighting scenes, some good backstory elements, and there are definitely some twists and turns in the plot as it goes. Enjoy!

fun fact the actor who play Finley have the exact same height as Tom Cruise and look at him compare to Alan
