As a french , my favorite french meal ever is boeuf bourgignon and salty crepes with buckwheat . I'm not really fond of macarons, they're not really considered as a desert, more like a "candy" to go with coffee . As french desert you should try paris brest , tropezienne pie , creme brulee , tarte au flan ... i agree with you , never liked snails , but we eat frogs and rabbits , yes i know it's sad , but when i've eaten it , it used to be pretty delicous ( don't blame me , i'm vegetarien now )
