Justin out of all the videos I’ve saw, you are an excellent & attention to detail technician. I took one apart last night & followed instructions by another Technician which he was great. By far you are the best.I will be buying a part out of the LCD digitizer for the first generation mini. I am replacing the LCD screen touch digitizer. You mentioned not to throw away that one little piece that’s inside the part that you’re now he’s in a blow dryer has a little piece of tape over it and you just pull it out That’s a little bit messed up on the plastic part on the top that you attach the other I guess the piece LCD attaches to digitizer, your said don’t throw these away they’re expensive I have that piece but when I took it apart part the piece was bent and twisted the piece . I will send you a picture of it can you tell me if it’s savable or would you like me to donate it to you. I will wait for your response. Not sure when I’m going to order the part but I have a wedding so it’s crazy right now. The website that I saw was laptop.com the tech was every intelligent knows what he’s doing to fix iPad mini .I’m gonna to order the part hopefully they have the white LCD with the digitizer on it. I was looking at your page I could not find the parts icon so I can see how much my items will cost you did have a list of different types cell information , Apple , Samsung etc . I don’t have that number on me right now I took it apart I just went by the part number and the item number and the year of many pads. I will order from your company if you let me know how do I navigate or where I find the parts department so I can see what I am ordering is the correct part. I’m wondering if you have battery’s for the iPad Mini first generation and iPad mini 3. I hope that your business grows because you are easy to follow which I’ve never ever worked on an iPad or laptop. It took me about 10 hrs to take it off looking for the exact iPad mini cause some were different and until I found your page with the exact same mini . I was going to give up . It’s all taking apart. And we are going to wait till after our daughters wedding after October 24 at that time will be watching a little two-year-old so don’t know how long its gonna take me to get to it. I’m not sure if I’m able to still use it but I would need a new one because it comes with the LCD front panel . I do have the other part , the piece that goes on the Ldc I have that piece is perfectly fine. . I appreciate all your help and professionalism. Well done video. I had a cracked digitizer but lcd was working. I thought I followed the directions but apparently I made a mistake. I did not disconnect the battery (which is one mistake). After putting things back together powered on the tablet but the screen now only shows a light show of colors. Is it possible I overheated the lcd? I thought I might have connected the lcd incorrectly but I checked again and there is only one way the connection can be completed. Thoughts?
I did everything as is and my touch wont do anything but the home button works , when i went to test it i think i mightve folded and creased the ic chip / digitizer cable , pls help me . I dont know if i should buy another ic chip or cable thingy or what

What are the chances of breaking my iPad if I try replacing the LCD screen myself?
What are the two thin black strips on top of either adhesive flap attached to the LCD screen bezel? Are they some type of static or interference material?
I got my ipad fixed by some cheap repair shop and it cracked again but its under the top glass, the lcd is fine, but theres no response to touches and i took off my tempered glass protecter but i still cant feel the crack in the glass, will this work

Yes you could do it better with more resorces. You could go the whole hog and find a clean room in china. But at the end of the day people want an cheap way to an exceptable result. This chap has the confidence to show his complete technique. He gets the results he advertises. That's good enough for me. At least you know hes not a cowboy, and there are a lot of them around! It has allowed me the confidence a novice to change his 9 year old daughter's ipad mini digitiser without complication in 72minutes. Job Done, thanks :)

Don't listen to the haters... I followed step by step and would NEVER have even attempted it until I saw this video. Saved me a fortune on something that has been broken for a few years and seemed uneconomical to repair. Awesome demonstration and desciption. I am grateful. (and lucky I din't screw any of it up)... Although mentioning that you ought to be a skilled technician once I was more than half way through didn't help, but I ignored that.

Thanks so much for this wonderful video! I'm trying to replace my ipad mini screen digitizer, but it has a lot of shattered small pieces of glasses (on the edges) which is very difficult to remove due to the strong adhesive (see snipboard.io/wLSueN.jpg). Any tips or strategies to remove those completely before I can install the new digitizer? Thanks!

I need to get myself one of those magnetic pads!! I am just starting to get into this business myself, I have mostly been working on software and OS issues my start tool kit I bought is kinda crappy(basic) but will get the job done and if I get some decent business I will be upgrading very soon, @Tech MD CZcams what would be the best all around kit I could get for most any and all devices, including PC and Laptops in your opinion? Looking forward tohopefully getting some good business in this area, I appreciate the videos subscribing for anything I might need some questions answered visually in the future!
so i followed the directions except the "very important" disconnecting of the battery. I watched 5 other videos that didn't mention it at all so I thought I was doing it all right. Can anyone suggest what needs to happen if it won't power back up now? Is it possible that a defective replacement screen/IC chip could cause it not to restart? Or did I fry the battery?
You probably blown a fuse :/
Maybe you should force restart it by pressing the home button and power off button at the same time until the Apple logo appears or take it to a repair shop to fix it but if the iPad is still open to should fiddle with the battery urself and the connectors. Hope this helps!!

Followed the instructions thoroughly but now I'm having a issue with the backscreen not lighting up or responding to touch. I see the screen but it is not lit. I made sure to disconnect battery first as you stated. Do I have backlight failure? I'm trying to figure out how and why? Is there something else I can try to make it light up?
When you put it back together did you connect the battery before everything else?
