Sure let me know what you want me to show. I may have done this in my other melting videos as well. Check out the step by step video first and let me know.
It has served me very well over this last year. Other than the metal color changing I have had no issues with. It has melted a lot of stuff as you see from my videos. I really hope that you enjoy it! Remember to be safe and happy melting!
@@InfantryOutdoors man I do all the same stuff and I’m hearing you, just to be clear I was not having a poke at you at all, I really like this channel it’s very genuine. Hope there was no offence taken.
Thanks for your comment! Yes it can melt brass, copper, and aluminum. To pour I use crucible tongues. I have 2 pair for different sizes. I hope this helps!
Purchased the same Lava Forge furnace, just with different burners (they look slightly different) - it´s absolutely speeding on Tin and Zinc (never tried Aluminium, that doesn´t speak to me somehow, as I make art stuff at most) , but it´s struggling with Copper and Bronze, fiddling around with the settings still to get it working
@lindimaitar i have only melted aluminum, brass, and copper from scraps. I have not made anything yet. I would love to do some Nordic gold though! Also I wanma do ant hill castings as well.
It all depends on how long your melt is and what you are melting. I get around 4 to 5 melts I guess. Never really payed attention to that. Aluminum uses less than copper and brass due to the melting temperature differences. I hope this helps!
I was looking to buy pretty much the exact same furnace. Im pretty much sold on it now. I don't care much about melting cans im more looking into melting copper and casting bronze I was really wanting a devil forge but don't want to get sucked into paying a premium. My question is with the lava forge having set burners vs the adjustable from devil forge.
There are regulators on each burner. Where the gas line connect to the burners, each side has a regulator. I hope this helps! I love mine and have done brass copper and aluminum.
@InfantryOutdoors thanks for getting back to me, brother. So if I were to try melt something with a higher melting point, two burners would be the way to go?

Thankyou for a great upload. Is it possible to do a safety video on the unit. Do's & Don'ts

I just yesterday ordered the same kit plus I ordered some extra (smaller) tongs.

Not at all! I myself had no idea how heavy those things are. Thanks for your amazing support!!!
very cool dude
Thanks Joe! I hope you are doing great!
I like it. I would definitely build a pouring contraption like we talked about on the phone
That thing is HEAVY!
Cool thing to have.
Great video. Can it melt brass? And what do you use to pour the smaller crucible?

That is awesome! Great to hear! I haven't had any issues with copper yet. Bronze is a new for me too. Happy melting!
@@InfantryOutdoors I plan to cast red brass / cannon bronze, bronze and brass :) what parameters do you use for copper/bronze melting?

So how Long will a 15lb tank last?

Do duel burners give you more heat, or just get you upto temperature quicker?
Great question it does both!
