- another year, another sleigh ride! sorry about the earful of clarinets, lol. enjoy and as before, constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated! i know my hand looks a little wonky at times, it was cramping up pretty bad because of the piece we performed before this. i’m a senior in high school now and don’t plan to pursue music as a career but still have the rest of the school year ahead of me, so let me know what improvements can be made :)
Funny how this is supposed to be a video about the bass but most of the comments are about the clarinet players. LOL.

always great to hear the bass part for this song !!!!! also i know the majority of the comments are already saying stuff abt this but the clarinets were destroying every little crumb of my soul with every note they played (junior year clarinet player)

I’ve really been enjoying all these sleigh rides on you tube. Our band played sleigh ride every year. Enjoy senior year, and if you still like to play there might be an adult community band in your neighborhood. Or maybe a jazz combo just waiting for a lady bassist.

This is awesome! I’ve always wanted to play bass, but I’m much more accustomed to violins and violas. Also as a former band kid, the clarinets were in the top three reasons I left- Anyways, amazing performance! Lots of love from a violinist :D

german bows scare me😭 i want to try and learn to use them but i’ve used french for like six years now lol so i just stick with it

as a young clarinetist, i’m ashamed..
awesome stuff! :D I would just say if anything you should focus on your left hand and trying not to let your fingers collapse. that can cause a lot of unnecessary tension and buzzing. you want to make sure your fingers are in a C shaped curve and your joints dont collapse. otherwise great performance!

yes! i was lucky enough to play in the full symphony at my school, so full strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, etc :)

i’m lucky enough to go to a school with a lot of different orchestra groups- this is our full symphony! strings plus brass/winds, percussion, etc. sometimes vocalists too! i also play in a full string ensemble :)
Sometimes bands will have string basses in them. I play string bass at the band in my school

Yes, hello fellow orchestra member wh as put in band because there weren't enough people for band I play the violin and welp you make are clarinets sound like gods- no offence but our clarinets never even play the right notes and are playing to quiet other then that their very good
