Mate I was impatient at the beginning but I'm so glad I stuck in there past the 15sec that my dory brain allowed. Makes so much more sense now. THANKYOU!
Yeah that's pretty apparent from the tone on the recording, but it's not required to just play the song. He also does a lot of the accented downbeats as up strokes, which is completely backwards from what I recommend people do to keep good time.
