Albert Lee is a beast of a player. Such a nice guy too.
Emmy is absolutely precious💞
I never heard that ending to Till I Gain Control Again. Beautiful by Emmylou and Rodney.
So young and beautiful and red hot, all of them! God bless wood and wire and talent. 🎸
Emmy Lou forever !
i could sit with these four and watch them for ever! Love them
Too cool
Till you've been beside a man
You don't know what he wants
You don't know if he cries at night
You don't know if he don't
When nothin' comes easy
Old nightmares are real
Until you've been beside a man
You don't know how he feels
Once inside a woman's heart
A man must keep his head
Heaven opens up a door
Where angels fear to tread
Some men go crazy
Some men go slow
Some men go just where they want
Some men never go
Ooh blame it on midnight
Uuh shame on the moon
Everywhere it's all around
Comfort in a crowd
Strangers faces all about
Laughin' right out loud
Hey watch where you're goin'
Step light on your toes
Until you've been beside a man
You don't know who he knows
Ooh blame it on midnight
Uuh shame on the moon
Ooh blame it on midnight
Uuh shame on the moon
Rodney should have never tried to play lead guitar in the presence of Albert Lee; The God of Guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!
Emmylou once said that when she got to heaven she would tell St Peter her best accomplishment was that she once played rhythm guitar in a band with Albert Lee.
Albert lee..telecaster..
Albert Lee... Tele"Master" ;-)
Gostaria de saber mais sobre john Charles Crowley
Roseanne looks as if she has lost control.....again !
Raise the volume
What became of this session? did it result in a release? Is there an LP/CD version of this? ( asking for a friend) lol Great post. I have subbed and rung the bell- many thanks
Two 30 minute episodes of the Canadian TV show "In Session" were edited down from this raw footage and broadcast. This is the rough audio mix from the day of the show. It was recorded on 16 track analog and remixed for the broadcast episodes. This was just a guide track.
12:44 Roseanne Cash needs more reverb to her voice here , Rodney Crowell certainly did . I'm not sayin that vocals don't sound good in a small room without any reverb, but it even sounds worse when recording because vocals sound even flatter on recordings than if someone was singing in your living room or den. I wonder if they added the reverb(or slight echo) for the final edit for the tv show that would be televised days or weeks later ???
Yes. This was just the raw live mix from the day of the shoot. It was also recorded on multi track and remixed later for the edited broadcast. Same thing with the video. This is the unedited live line cut from the actual shoot day.
I was doing the live mix, the multi track recording AND the monitor mix for the musicians simultaneously. Canadian TV has a much lower budget than American shows due to our population being less than 10% of the USA.
You can tell she is Johnny Cash daughter her and Rodney was married they make a good couple they make a good couple lm not sure how long they married good couple ❤❤❤
The tension between these ladies, anyone see it ?
Roseanne's ex Rodney best friends with her.
🤔
Roseanne was so jealous of Emmylou😎
@@seamusmccartin9683 Wrong. Roseanne and Emmylou have been friends for years. Emmylou sang harmony on Roseanne's Seven Year Ache album which was released almost 3 years before this video. They've appeared together several times on shows over the years and remain friends to this day.
Would that be Tom Britt on the pedal steel?
Bob Lucier. The band were all Toronto-area session musicians. Red Shea on guitar (played with Gordon Lightfoot for many years). Norm Amadio on piano. Lou Pomanti on String Synth. Rick Homme on Bass.
Well the works whistle blew at a half past five o'clock
I saw the red light at the corner, man I never tried to stop
I got pulled over by a man in blue, he said what you thinking you're
Tryin'a do?
I told him 'bout my baby and he let me go, thanks a lot
I got invited to a party at a high class hollywood pool
There were women all around me, man I began to drool
I weighed the evidence in hand, I said girls you got to understand
Since I met my baby I've been living by the golden rule
Ain't nobody gonna make me shout
Ain't nobody gonna put me out
Ain't nobody gonna make me do like my sweet little lisa does
Ain't nobody gonna make me sing
Make me do the wrong damn thing
Sticking my head in a cold cold stream, like my sweet little lisa does
I was pulling out of dallas, got pulled over by a debutante
She was playing with her keys, she thought I was acting kinda nonchalant
She said she'd take me up to her room, and keep me
I've got a sweet sugar mama give me everything I want
Ain't nobody gonna make me shout
Ain't nobody gonna put me out
Ain't nobody gonna make me do like my sweet little lisa does
Ain't nobody gonna make me sing
Make me do the wrong damn thing
Sticking my head in a cold cold stream, like my sweet little lisa does
Do you have Jimmy Buffett's 1984 Austin City Limits episode?
Great seeing Roseanne flirting with Rodney
Well, they were married at the time.
@@bonzorip6162 I hope their "His" and "Hers" towels had more than their initials -- RC -- or they couldn't tell them apart.
It’s obvious that Rosanne and Emmylou didn’t like each other
Obvious to who? Roseanne and Emmylou have been friends for years. Emmylou sang harmony on Roseanne's Seven Year Ache album which was released almost 3 years before this video. They've appeared together several times on shows over the years and remain friends to this day.
Who is the man on the piano?
Legendary Toronto session pianist Doug Riley. He played on the "Night Moves" single by Bob Seger, and tons of hits up here in Canada.
After that little kiss from Roseanne things looked a little cold between them
Roseanne seems a bit uptight
They seem to be still married.
@@lisalabellarte7713 They have been divorced since 1992.
Whose playing pedal steel?
Bob Lucier on Pedal Steel, Barry Keane on Drums, Mike "Pepe" Francis on guitar, Rick Homme on bass, Doug Riley (RIP) on piano. Toronto Session all-stars.
