I've actually seen that it was supposed to have normal eyes but it was broken on an update.

Fun fact. Apart from the original skins, only Batman Beyond and JL3000 have a segmented helmet, while the rest are simply deformed
So cool the Batman mod adds face paint to Bruce.
But makes you realize he should have eye black on under EVERY mask, because technically he does, and they chose the Batman Returns removal “error” as the default.
@@willc4163The thing is, the character doesn't wear that ridiculous makeup. In movies it is only used as a resource to focus the eyes well when the mask is put on.

Consider doing this with some modded suits, if you're able. Worst Nightmare, Owl Man, SSKtJL, and Gotham Knights are some top choices, personally.
Anyway- I just don't like how the eye makeup disappears... You could also use the Hush mission cutscene, I think.

Post Arkham City, according to IceMage (modder who did the SSKTJL and Gotham Knights suits), is like that because they only modeled the bottom of Bruce's face, not the top.

What I find baffling is that _every_ custom suit has its own custom "taking off the helmet" animation, _except_ for v7.43, the one Batman starts the game in. It's like Rocksteady was _so_ in love with v8.03 that it didn't even occur to them that some people might want to continue using v7.43 🙄

To answer the question in the video. His hair is made invisible while the cowl is on. He doesn’t take it off but the hair is still made visible cause it’s coded to.
Verified Modder of Arkham Knight here (yes I mod the game), the v7.43 Suit Helmet Mesh was created like a pre-AK cowl mesh, meaning it doesn’t have a proper unmask and it shows the hair trough the cowl because as you said, it was coded to appear every time he takes off his mask. With some effort I could make it so it has a proper unmask now that custom model import is possible.

I know it would have never happened because of the insane amount of extra work involved, but how cool would it have been if when you used the Flashpoint skin everybody called you Tom or Thomas instead of Bruce since in Flashpoint it’s Bruce who died in the alley and his dad Thomas becomes the Batman instead. 😄
