  • Autonomic Neuropathy in Diabetes is an overlooked and underdiagnosed condition that has serious consequences. In this TUESDAY TIP, I give an overview of what it is, who is at risk, and what the nurse practitioner can do clinically. If you would like to catch the TUESDAY TIP videos LIVE, follow me over on Instagram @thediabetesnp! To watch the other TUESDAY TIP videos, I linked the playlist below!

Welcome to Kim E. The Diabetes NP Channel!!! My name is Kim E. and I have a love and passion for prediabetes and Diabetes Mellitus Type 2. I went on a journey a while ago to build upon my knowledge of the disease and found it difficult to find concise and useful information. I realized at that moment that we, as nurse practitioners, needed a resource like this. As I began learning more about the disease and the new advances in education and management, I wanted to be apart of the solution for my fellow colleagues. If this is something that interests you, please come along with me as we grow in our knowledge of Diabetes to better serve our patients.

Thank you, Kim, I really enjoyed your video tips on CAN, with which I was just diagnosed yesterday. Although I am a 63 year old caucasion female, I am sure the slide about what needs to be treated will help me alot. I subscribed to your CZcams channel so I can view any new tips for us diabetic patients out here! Thanks again!

Thanx for the info Sis! I think that I'm suffering from this shit. I hope that it goes away now that I'm controlling my blood sugar. Every video on CZcams is about nueropathy either in the hands or feet. However, mine is mainly everywhere else and I have the fatigue and some of the heart issues that you speak of. Its good to see that there is someone who is aware that this exist.

@@joshuageslani4386 Several indicators are that vitamin B12 is very helpful. I just started taking it. Ultimately, you will have to regulate your blood sugar. Last meal of the day should not be very late so that you can go at least 12 hours with lowered/normal blood sugar. The nerves probably won't regenerate without a healthy environment to grow in. In the meanwhile... the drug Gabapentin / Neurontin helps to a reasonable degree. Also, Goody's Fruit Powder on an empty stomach at bedtime will help push away the other body aches or related pain long enough for you to doze off. Sometimes ya gotta take two at the same time.
      Hope this info helps :)

I read recently that there’s a connection between diabetes type 2 & long term stress & generational stress, as well as those who have been molested. The generational stress may be due to slavery. Upsetting
