I think that was a scam Seungbin. Because when he saw you taking out you’re wallet he was like oooooh Thank you so much.
And then he was literally just looking at you’re wallet like the whole time.
I could be wrong but that’s my guess. Plus no one goes and sit next to someone and ask for money. Or he just had the guts to go and ask lol.
Wait why didn’t he just go to someone else that was polish.

Do not give money to anyone. If they say they're hungry, buy them food (if you like to), if they say they need a train ticket, buy them ticket. If I was in trouble, lost my money or so, I would call police or ask someone to call police so they could help me get in touch with my family. This is the first thing that I would do.

She was even approached in a shop by some woman who told her that in that shop they often sell some cosmetics supposedly on sale while they were some cheap fake products.
She also said she was warned about hidden mini-cameras but she went for a place that was checked and recommended by many foreigners so she was just careful in toilets.

As a polish person i know things like that happen way too often ( at least in my city)
usually it’s a scam and they just want free money or some groceries food or alcohol. What you can do to make sure that your not getting scammed is to go and buy that ticket or something with them to make sure they actually need it. ( there is still a chance that they have money to afford that but they just don’t want to pay for that)
I had similar situation few times that someone were asking me for money to buy a ticket or something like this then when I offered to go with them and buy it they said oh no no I just want money to “buy this ticket”. Then you know that’s a scam. Or you can keep their phone or something while they are gone with your money to make sure they won’t run away like that guy you’ve met
I really hope things like that won’t happen again to you 🙏
I wish that you will have a lot of good memories from Poland despite some shitty people like that dude

Scammers are like that. they beg you for money and go away in lightning speed. Actually sometimes there are even gangs specializing in that kind of stuff. When I see a beggar I usually buy him food if he asks for it, or ecactly a ticket . and no ticket to the other city of Poland would cost 100 zł .
how to differentiate beggar from scammer? Beggar will be greateful you gave him food, scammer will try to dissuade you from buying anything, just giving him a money will do for him.

Yeah unfortunately you got scammed :/ There is not a lot of foreigners in Poland and especially eastern-looking tourist must be "wealthy" to travel to Europe so you guys will be the main target of people trying to tell you stories like that, especially in this mall which is also the main train station of the capital, with everyone arriving and departing, I would advise to visit Mokotów or Powiśle neighbourhoods, eat in Hala Koszyki, Elektrownia or Norblina for getting crowds of people without the scams around. This Zlote Tarasy mall is really the one and best place to get robbed or asked for money in Warsaw.
There are so many way much more beautiful and vibrant places in Warsaw other than this mall, please, I beg of you, don't go again in this mall I think you've seen it very well already 😅

It was a scam, some times there are a lot of people walking around in the city asking for something, it often is a scam. The reason why I don’t trust people. I would actually never give money to strangers. Next time this happens we often say that we don’t have a lot of money on us or we just say no. I think in Europe it happens pretty often (I don’t know what it’s like in other countries in Europe but where I live these kind of things happen). So be careful and take care of you ❤

You wanted to be good, and the good will come to you. People often cheat, bad karma will come back to him for what he did. Take care of yourself, do not trust people who do not want to make money on your good.

For helping people is very noble but i would say okay i will buy you that ticket not give money. For sure he would back of. I wish i live in Warsaw and could help you catch him. I hope someone from there watching this vlog. And mayve alert security in that mall.

I remember once I saw a man whose head was full of blood and he asked me for money to buy plasters and treatment and I gave him even though I did not have enough money for this but I felt happy... After a month I found the same person covered in blood and asking for money from people... I don't want to misunderstand, maybe he is I have a skin disease and I miscalculated, but I felt that the blood was fake

it's probably a scam, there's a lot of people that take their chance when they see tourists. not only tourists, but they're the easiest target.
when i was 10, i bought a single rose for 50zł from a girl whose brother was supposedly dying. she wouldn't let me go though so i had to do something to get rid of her and i felt bad for her 'brother'. afterwards, some lady started yelling at me and explaining what i just did. i gave the rose to some random person so the person that went there with us won't see it

So it happend. Honestly, it's a pretty epic situation.
Certainly there are also times when someone actually doesn't have a charged phone, in which case it should be easy to prove.
It d only be more epic if you met a Polish bum (żul/menel).

  • @vjjvbvjjvb9559

This is a scam for sure. If he thinks his phone is dead, you can tell him he can use your phone. Or may be not because he might run away with your phone. You should call police to catch the guy who is dare coming to ask you a second time. His eyes keep looking at your wallet. Never give a dime to this type of people. Lesson learned.

Don't give anything. I don't even give food. There are people who can take you to the shop and tell you what exactly they want you to buy for them. It wouldn't be so bad if it happened once but man I met was doing this everyday for the most of the day and even had a huge backpack for his loot.
