How to jump spooky fences with Kirstin Kelly.

How to jump spooky fences safely and confidently is a system. You need to educate the horse so when he sees a spooky jump for the first time, he will trust you and you will trust in him that he will jump it without leaping or swerving. Always making sure you firstly educate the green horse by showing them lots of different types of jumps, and ensuring that whenever you jump something different you maintain a good position so you don't get left behind and pull on his mouth. Some horses are cautious and others are super brave, if your horse is cautious then it is so important that you grab a piece of mane when you jump something scary so if he leaps awkwardly you aren't punishing him by pulling on his mouth. By ensuring your head is up, you will also keep your balance.
