    Well I decided to fill my rear tires with RV Antifreeze (RVA) instead of window washing fluid (WWF). They are the exact same price at my local Walmart. WWF cannot be made non-toxic (says so right on the jug). RVA is non toxic by design for use in RV plumbing systems. RVA weighs 8.4 lbs. per gallon, WWF weighs 7.6 lbs. per gallon. WWF is rated at -25 degrees, RVA is rated at -50 degrees. No brainer for me. Thanks again for the video, I just ordered the fill connecter and the pump.

      where did you find it the same price? Walmart is about 1.50 a gallon more. A barrel from the local parts store is 175 more.

      If you use antifreeze, use propeleyne glycol base so not to attract animals with the sweet smell and taste

      Any antifreeze is going to be corrosive on the rim and dry out the rubber in the tire. If you have an inner tube in it then you will get it to last a little longer but not much.

      @mikek8632 Your remarks are contrary to everything I've read on the subject. The RV antifreeze additive system has passed corrosion requirements as specified in ASTM D1384 and provides outstanding corrosion protection for copper, brass, solder, steel, cast iron and aluminum. If it was corrosive as you suggest, why would it be used in very expensive RV's and boats for long term winter storage? How can it harm a painted steel wheel? In addition, propylene glycol actually lubricates rubber. It's also good to -50°. I'd be interested to know where you obtained your information...
      Oh, and one more thing, unlike window washing fluid, RV antifreeze is non-toxic.

      @@artillerybuff2000 You can choose to be blind and believe whatever you want to believe. I know what I have seen first hand and what I've had to repair after people like yourself think you know better than the professionals. I've been working on tires since I was literally 5 years old, I started by patching tires and tubes with my Grandfather. I now own the business and do this type of work every day, I've seen a lot of things that have been "claimed" to not be a problem but in the real world actually do cause problems...but as I said feel free to "do it your way" you will find out.

    Instead of a drill pump I used a submersible pump from one of the box stores. Bought the adapter from Amazon like you did and used a 5 gallon bucket and put in water with 2 gallons of antifreeze. I live in a warmer climate so adjust your mixture accordingly as to where you live.

    If you have a electric weed sprayer to use as a pump i recommend it makes the job even easier and quicker just make sure to keep a charger on the battery your using to power the sprayer

    Did you notice a significant difference in traction with the liquid filled tires vs air?

    • @BrollBrothersProductions
      @BrollBrothersProductions  Před 9 měsíci

      Haven’t noticed an improvement with traction (outside of deep mud). However the improvement in stability is huge. Especially when using a grapple, our grapple is heavier then the bucket and it was quite tippy without the loaded tires. It also feels less tippy/slidey on hills.

      I did with my tractor. However, mine hold 55 gallons each at 75%, which is over 450 lbs. per tire using RV & Marine antifreeze. I don't have to use 4wd as much when doing road grading or front loader work. But I also added some racks to the top of my box blade that holds 8 five gallon buckets filled with wet sand @ 75 lbs. each. Tractor fills well planted, less bouncy, and way more stable, plus the 1,200 lbs. hanging on the three point (weight of box blade plus ballast buckets) helps lighten the load on the front axle when carrying full bucket loads of heavy material...

      I think the manual only mentioned doing the rears, the front’s probably don’t have the capacity for any real weight gain

    Lmao. You honestly fill them 100% ? 😂 let me know how that works out in the long run

    • @BrollBrothersProductions
      @BrollBrothersProductions  Před 9 měsíci +5

      They are filled to the valve stem, about 75% per the Kubota manual, check @0:35 for screenshot. If they are filled 100% you would have no room for air to properly pressurize the tire.

    Um no...just call your local tire guy as clearly yall dont know a thing about doing this the proper way. I am a tire guy and ive been called more times than i can count for people like you thinking they know what they are doing and then they spend 2 to 3 times what it would have initially cost for me to waste my time fixing their screw up and then doing it the proper way. Also...washer fluid is a corrosive...good luck with those rims rusting out in less than 5 years time.

      @BrollBrothersProductions  Před 3 měsíci +1

      What component of washer fluid is corrosive? We specifically chose it for price and being non-corrosive. We are absolutely not tire guys, but based on available information it seems like a suitable choice of fluid. www.yanmartractor.com/resources/tractor-tips/liquid-ballast/

      My local dealer said they charge $180/hr with a minimum 2hr job to fill both rear tires.. so $360 and they only use water, where i live it freezes below 20 degrees maybe 3-4 times a year in the winter months so 100% water is a no go for me as i keep my tractor under a lean to at the moment and $360 for 2 tires to be filled is way to steep.

      @@BrollBrothersProductions Did you not read the label? Last I knew it literally says corrosive somewhere on the label. It's been years since I've looked but I highly doubt it would have changed any. I do know for a fact that concentrated washer fluid is listed as a corrosive as it's accompanied by a full MSDS and is considered hazardous freight when shipping. In it's diluted form the feds may no longer consider it corrosive but that's in a normal application where it's in a plastic container, not in contact with a metal rim or rubber.
