  • Today we load the tires on a Kubota l3901 using simple equipment. The ballast makes a night and day difference when using the tractor.

    That was pretty slick. You are the first person that I have heard of doing it this way. Great job.

    Great video. I did not know how I would get fluid in the rear tires on my own. I got mine done by the dealer when I bought L3800.
    For loader work I still add 450 lb minimum on the 3-point. It makes a big difference. I run a 3/4 bar through the three-point hole and then load barbell weight onto that and hold them in place with ring clamps. I'll make a video and show you what it looks like. You can get used barbell weights pretty cheap.

      That's a really good idea. If I know I'm going to be lifting heavy u will hook my land plane or 6.5 disc on the back. I would like to rig up something else. I have some 100lb tractor wheel.weights I thought about Welding up to a 3pt trailer mover

    Rim guard sir I believe it's beet juice. I'm looking at doing it to the front and rear tires. My tractor is light in the front with rotary mower attached, I do not have a loader. Tractor time with Tim did a video on rim guard!

      The only.lroblem with rim guard, is that it turns to foamy sludge inside the tire. Its softens the tires and can make future tire repairs less effective.

    Why didn't you use beet juice? it's not corrosive or toxic.

    • @PheasantLaneFarm
      @PheasantLaneFarm  Před rokem

      No, but ot does turn to a sludge after time. To the point it needs to be shoveled away. Also a fre tractor tire repair guys told me it tends to make it harder to do repairs down the road.

    Do you need to add air to the tire after you load the fluid?

    • @PheasantLaneFarm
      @PheasantLaneFarm  Před rokem

      Yes. Find a psi that works for you. Make sure you don't fill the tire completely with fluid. You need to have an air space to cushion the tractor or you can blow the tire off the rim.
