- This is my first time ever night diving and it did not disappoint!
It was a beautiful day and with the Family we made a trip to a stunning beach for a bit of chill time, the family hung out and I flew my drone and filmed a couple of timelapse sequences before heading out as the sun was sinking in the sky, I was armed with a new bit of kit - the XTAR D26 1600S dive torch that I had been sent to review...
Watch as I experience the amazing underwater world by torch light for the first time and gather a feed for the family!
You can buy this amazing dive torch here - www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09F9JX4...
That's an impressive snapper! Looks like a lot of fun.
Lots of fun, I want to do a bit more! Cheers!!!
Sure is a beauty that snapper!! Well done🥳🐟
It was super tasty too - the head and wings were loaded with fat and smoked up amazing! Cheers!!!
Woow nice adventure..
Thank you, Cheers!!!
That was fab, thanks Kerry 😊
It sure was a cool dive! Cheers!!!
awsome footage keep up the good adventures all the best ben
Cheers Ben! Hope you have been getting out too!
Love the drone work. Well done
Cheers!!!
Wow, looks so different underwater at night ⭐️
I didn't think that it looked that different, the fish behavior was tho! Love you!!!
Great review! Just ordered my one using the link 👍🏽
You will love it mate! I'm so impressed with it! Cheers!!!
That was cool
Cheers Reid! Time for another camping mission soon?
Thanks again.
You're welcome! Cheers!!!
Cool torch m⁸
Yeah it is a weapon! Cheers!!!
Cool torch, just ordered one
You will love it, I was super impressed! Cheers!!!
As a fellow night diver. Well done nothing more peaceful. It is easier harvesting at night but you gotta have balls to spear at night
you ever had any sharky encounters at night or are they quite placid?
@@Senates most of my night spearing missions were in north Western Australia and only came across reef sharks. Definitely were more docile but diving at night by yourself with fish blood in the water . Do at your risk.
Yeah it was awesome, I definitely want to do more night dives! Cheers!!!
Solid
Cheers mate!!!
Epic night dive mate! Ive done cave diving out west coast for crays before, we had 1 torch between 2, that was a whole new level of diving but amazi g id reccomend it, the coral you see is amazing! Chur bro
That does sound pretty epic lol! Cheers!!!
Awesome video - the music is really eerie which is quite fitting for a night dive haha I'd find it a bit freaky
Glad you enjoyed it, I thought the music fitted dive nicely lol! It was a bit spooky out there but nothing really to be worried about when you see how less active the fish are...Cheers!!!
Those krill were a blast.
They looked so cool aye! Cheers!!!
Yeahhh boy successful first night dive! I reckon use Aya as the hand model for showing off future products tho 😂
What! didn't you like my dirty fingernails lol! Cheers mate!!!

A professional trapper told me the new moon is the best time because the full moon gives the octopus enough light to hunt. Love to do this one day, (when I have the courage) :)
Ah that is a useful bit of information, thanks for that! Cheers!!!
Mate your so brave going out in the dark.
Brave or stupid lol! Not sure I'd want to be diving any sharky areas at night like that but where I was would be pretty unlikely to see a shark...Cheers!!!
I was thinking the same. Not in a milliok years 😂
Hey there buddy, how come you are back in New Zealand. Your wife on vacay.
She has finished her scholarship now so we have moved back home. Cheers!!!
What was the depth at your spearfishing area?? How s the performance of XTAR D26 1600S torch?? I looking to buy this torch...
Most of the area is between 4 to 8 meters here, I reckon the Torch is an excellent performer, it's super bright and feels very well made, I've had it for a while now and it's still going strong! Cheers!!!
@@KerryFlowers my diving area is between 15 to 20m..... Beam angle is fine for these depth???
@@lukmanklt1107 Yeah I would think so it has a beam angle of 5 degrees so should be great for that depth
has the no take zone been removed from there?
No the Rahui is still in effect, I was diving outside of the Rahui area...Cheers!!!
@@KerryFlowers ohh sweet. that area is just the best!
Mate Would it be much safer driving at night?
I don't think it would be safer but I don't really know, I think that day diving would be safer simply because you can see a lot more of what is going on around you and have longer to react to things...Cheers!!!
That touch unavailable on that link
Oh ok, the link is working for me but I didn't go to checkout - perhaps they are low on stock? Cheers!!!
@@KerryFlowers Link is working but under the photo it says Currently Unavailable
Great video again. But I think night diving is not CZcams worthy! :)
I'd love to know why you think that? Cheers!!!
@@KerryFlowers I'd like to see the whole diversity of the ocean. In the dark, however, we are limited to seeing only what is illuminated by the beam of light! 😎
@@yonetmen ah got ya, I still think that it has it's place on youtube tho! Cheers!!!
