    This was definitely a very well-explained video tutorial on how to use a salt chlorine generator. I couldn't figure out what all the different numbers on my generator were. Playing this video and pausing it and writing the information on paper so that I have a reference next time I need to troubleshoot my generator again will be helpful. The number of times to push the diagnostic button to get to the proper reading and changing from auto to super chlorinate until I get my desired reading and what the numbers that appeared were. Thank you for explaining it so well.

    Thank you for this video. I sure wish the pool sales lady that opened our pool and went over the operation of the pool was as informative as you were. 5 years later and I’m still struggling with our salt system. The flow switch was damaged upon installation and they replaced it. This year it has the no flow light lit up. I attempted to change it and ruined the new switch. Old one came out fine, no issues. New one was difficult to get into the hole then was very hard to screw in. After about 1/4 turn I removed it only to find I bent it. Well there went $100.

    • @backyardfunpoolsinc.8236
      @backyardfunpoolsinc.8236  Před 2 lety

      Awesome. So glad we could help. If cleaning the cell doesn’t fix it make sure you consider replacing the cell. The first thing to go out on the aqua rite system is typically the reader for salt level. Most cells have a 300lb-725lb(the new ones) life span. Meaning it makes that much in its life. If you run the cell less percentage and don’t have to use the super chlorinate frequently it should last up to 10years or so.

    Hi Brady 1st let me tha k you for having this video. Let me start by saying our salt cell went bad and we had to buy a new one. Before we realized it was bad my husband added ALOT of salt cause it was saying low salt we having been draining refilling draining refilling ALOT trying to get our salt to the right point. Now onto what my box readings are when I first turn on the box the 1st thing I see on the screen reads 3100 and the light is on generating. Then screen goes to 84 which is the temp when I start hitting the diagnostic button the next thing reads 31.3 then 43P then 7700 then AL-7 then 1.45 then HI where the red light stays on yes we are still draining and refilling draining refilling cause it's taking FOREVER to get the salt levels down 🤦‍♀️ Now once the red light is on high salt when I hit the diagnostic button it gives me only the 84, the 43p, and the AL-7 reading everything else is 0
    So does my system not have where you can change the T-?
    And any suggestions to get the salt levels down quicker it's taking FOREVER. The way we're are draining is turning our sand filter pump to waste and draining it then we fill until it gets high again then repeat. Should we run our sand filter pump or just leave it off while it's filling up
