Hi Doctor, I had a very painful trigger finger on my middle finger, I went to a local clinic, the Doctor gave one shot of steroid injection 💉, after a week the pain was still there, I went over to the Clinic again, and the Doctor 😷 gave another steroid injection 💉...i forced my hand to force and push a cabinet 🗄, I felt something cracked inside my hand 🖐️....I went and checked with a specialist Doctor, he said my tendon on the middle finger is cracked due to the frequent steroid injection 💉, it has soften my tendon and he said not safe to take the steroid injection frequently....now I have to do a surgery for the broken tendon and my trigger finger pain as well...i can't bend the end of my middle finger, it's a very disappointed experience for me 😥...pls be careful before taking the steroid injection 💉....better get a specialist opinion...just sharing my experience with the trigger finger effects
Thank you do much for posting this. I had the injection for A1 pulley and appreciate the warning to only have it done once and if not fixed a small op will be needed.
Sir , I get a lot of trigger finger cases and I used your technique . It really was very helpful . Thanks a lot for it . I wanted to request you if you could make a video on trigger thumb .
Today my husband is supposed to take this injection. I am worried and pray to God to help him come out of this situation and become normal. Thanks doctor for the information shared
thank you very much for the videos. I am a resident of orthopedics and traumatology. please can you do a video-surgery for foot deformities for example, pes varus or calcaneovalgus etc.
My specialist is a surgeon but she didn't wear gloves and cared about aseptic procedure.you know in Canada there's a long waiting list. Its so painful to get a shot without anesthesia. You're such thoughtful and professional doctor to freeze the topical area 👍so lucky the patient is!
@@DrVinayKumarSingh I had this problem when I was playing guitar fast without doing stretching and warming up exercises after that during the night my finger started to block and after that I did stretching exercises especially on the affected finger the blockage it stopped and I also did a massage on the place where there is the nodule ( A1 pulley )and now my finger I can open and close it but when I put pressure on the place where there is the (A1 pulley nodule )I feel another mini clicking and popping it's like if the nodule has started to shrink or heal than what you suggest me to do to make this nodule disappear permanently I am taking a corticosteroid injection or taking anti-inflammatory pills
I came gear looking for an answer. I've these injections several over the last four years and had trigger release surgery dome on both thumbs and two fingers. I went into an RA flare about 1.5 weeks ago and developed a trigger finger from it. The finger was stuck in the bent position, and the pain was horrible. This was the worst case I've ever had. The PA in my orthopedic surgeons office gave me the injection and put a bandaid in it. This is the part I was expecting. Without telling me after the bandaid was placed over the injection, she light grabbed the tip of my finger and pulled it into the straight position. The pain went off the chart from that. Is that normal to do to someone when the finger is stuck in the bent position. No other time was this done, and had no clue that would be done to me.
Sir thank you for such a comprehensive and wonderfully explained videos. I wish I had a teacher like you during my PG. Just one query for this video...what no. needle did you use?

Seems u have tendon rupture. That's why you should not have steroid injection more than once for trigger finger.
Thank you do much for posting this. I had the injection for A1 pulley and appreciate the warning to only have it done once and if not fixed a small op will be needed.
Yes surgery if it doesn't get better with single injection

Once you give an injection of steroids with some local anaesthesia then you can attempt to make the finger straight.

High risk for tendon rupture. You had two many injections. Steroid is given only once. If it comes back go for surgery.
