Greetings fellow CZcams users. Welcome back to another adventure of cart pushing. Hope y'all enjoy the ride. Music Used: Energy by SaddiqyTheNyeGuy Feat. Kam Arm$trong (Check out my homies!)
I just want to thank you for your amazing power of positive thinking and sense of humor. I am a job coach working with very young adults with disabilities. The chances of them getting a cake job are not good. We watch these videos as part of a lesson plan. Having a positive attitude, yes the job you start at may not be great, But your attitude towards it can definitely help. One of my guys was so excited when he found out part of his courtesy clerk position included cart pushing. Your sense of humor helped him find the joy in a really hard job. He also lived for "not getting jacked in the electric cart." Mr Brown you are inspiring and you may have missed your calling.
I'm currently a cart pusher. The team leads are freakishly controlling and The store manager actually took away several privileges from us. But I still got my own work arounds. I know how to take longer breaks and for certain items I find in a cart, Finders keepers! We are also no longer allowed to wear One earbud which sucks because without it, the work environment feels dull
@@lez6966 You still work on rainy days but if you hear thunder or lightning you have to go inside because it's unsafe, especially if your using a Cart Machine. Sometimes I just walked around the store or go in the employee break room until it stopped. Although if the storm lasted long I did something I think they called Reshops? It was basically you finding items that were not where they were supposed to be and bringing them back to the Customer Service Center.
I been a cart pusher for 8 months October will be my year. More detail to say we are only down to 5 cart pushers and my csm's are no good they do send help but when they feel like it
Yeah I remember that being a thing when I was a cart pusher. Sometimes they'd send out help but usually only when it was really busy or sometimes when I was by myself for my whole shift.
Your lucky your store brings carts into the vestibule while you're at lunch. At my Walmart when I go to lunch no one does anything and it's empty when I get back
I hate doing cart pushing that’s all I do in the Florida heat an humidity plus Issa seasonal 2 months an I got to maintain a whole parking lot by my self
I had my first day of "Training" today. It consisted of shadowing the cart pushers while they did theyre job. Which you will have a task list to go through and complete daily. Carts arent the only thing. You may be ripping up cardboard into the bailer out back or helping with carryouts for customers. Also i was hand pushing carts because i wasnt trained in on the electric pusher so prepare to sweat a little bit and be a bit sore afterwards. All in all im pretty new aswell so im still learning. Are you in a Canada location btw?
And to better answer your question if its packed and your busy carts will literally be gone in 10 minutes. So id say some days you will be out there for majority of your shift.
I imagine as a courtesy clerk they'd spend most of their down time bagging, cleaning, or just walking around assisting customers. But yes of course they get breaks. That also depends on the business of the store, it ramps up and down unpredictably, usually when this happens courtesy clerks are called to the front to bag and to the lot to sweep for carts. The most important part of the job is "sweeps". Which is pretty self explanatory, it's when they push the dust mop through the store. It's so important because if a customer slips/trips or falls, if you didn't sweep that part of the store then the store has nothing to fight the potential lawsuit. I imagine that considering how hard it'd be to do this during rush hours, it would be done pretty often during the clerk's downtime
I'm 52 been doing it 9 months. I'm seriously over it. Front end leads talk to you like a 12 year old that got an F on their report card. I'm mentally checked out. Looking for other part time stuff. Besides, I don't think I have the patience for the upcoming holidays. Walmart shoppers are a special kind of dumb.
@@catgirlow depends on weather, hours you work, and crew you have- but I say it’s pretty easy when you got it down. I work in louisiana humidity though so it gets hot.
I’ve seen some say 10k a year and some say their salary was 40k a year do with that as you wish either way this looks like a hard working laid back easy job

@@lez6966 rainy days we couldn't use the cart mule because its like a lightning rod so we have to grab them by hand
Are the carts hard to push? I’m not very strong in the arms and I’m kinda worried.
