When I heard this song in 1990 tears ran out my eyes. I thought an angel was singing..... Now, about 34 years later, this song puts me in another space as before and my eyes become always wet.

I can't even think of anything to listen to next. It's completely filled me. My best friend (since deceased) and I so much loved Dead Can Dance when we were young. I know everybody does, but I always tear up when hearing Lisa. I wish he was alive to hear this much later rendition and see the recognition she has since received. Here's to you ,Jesse. I would never be able to perform with her either as a singer or a musician. I'd be too mesmerised by her voice. I can never sit through this particular song without crying from its haunting beauty.
when this song came up at the end of "the Mist", i was blown away, such a great song to end one of the saddest movie endings ever.

I love that members of both the choir and orchestra are smiling, almost as if they're saying 'yep she really did just make that sound!' Lisa you are sublimely talented. This is breathtaking.
Considering she is in a country that's famous for their Bulgarian choir hitting otherworldly sounding notes, that says a lot.

The number of times I have listened to this tune, every time has left me speechless. He voice is from beyond this earth. I'm an atheist BUT she has the voice of angels.

Just watched the film "The Mist" I've seen it a few times,but the subtitles were up and the music title and Artist came up and here I am. Reminds me a bit of the "Trio Bulgarka" style. Bulgarian folk singers who also featured on the wonderful Kate Bush album "The sensual World."

So I learned of this song from a movie but i think it is a very beautiful song this is above so many that have been sung and i will always love the beautiful sounds of this one of a kind

I'm so happy that I had this fate that honoured me the chance to attend this concert together with my 5 years old child...
But why is everyone commenting on some film they saw?! I'm sure this wasn't supposed to be a "movie ad".
Because this is how we became acquainted with this masterpiece. I never knew she existed or the song until I watched the movie, The Mist.

No documentário "Sanctuary", sobre a Lisa, ela fala "eu amo o trabalho abstrato porque sinto que quanto menos tentamos explicar através de palavras ou imagens no sentido tradicional mais encorajamos a destravar a imaginação e a mente daqueles que são observadores". O produtor do filme não-verbal "Baraka" - um dos filmes que se utiliza de "The Host of Seraphim" na trilha sonora - , fala que "o uso de palavras ou de não-palavras que ela se vale é, na verdade, um modo de tornar a música mais profunda e interna, porque a linguagem pode frequentemente trazer consigo os sentidos das palavras e os sentidos das palavras podem ser intelectuais em natureza e criar um processo de pensamento que é intelectual."
