    GPS tracking will never be too accurate, like you mentioned that you've noticed. BECAUSE GPS is not a Telemetric tracker! So GPS tech uses phone towers that "ping" when the tracker is nearby. Telemetry trackers are accurate down to a few inches. It's an older tech 😉and cheaper BUT for our kids, it's the BEST option.

    I've personally used the gizmo2 watch and the calling features are grear but the tracking is could be better. It showed older roads but it does update every 3-5min and it does auto answer

    Excellent video, thanks for sharing your findings. Have you tried putting the device on the shoes and do you think the walking motion will interfere with the tracking accuracy

      Thank you so much!! I have not tried the device on a shoe but based on the movement the Jiobit receives in my sons pocket I don't imagine it will interfere with accuracy.

    Thank you for this complete video. My son also is a silent runner and loves water. It's like you where describing my son.
    Sadly, these devices doesn't work outside US. I'm from south america. Or do you know if there's an option that works?
    In any case, thanks for your video. I'm a new subscriber.

    good morning , my son 9 years old non verbal eloped twice this weekend both time cops were called and I was lucky enough to find him both times. I ordered this through amazon & recieved it the same day I am trying to set this up because I am terrified to even send him to school today. He eloped from my home and his ABA center, places he has never done this before, but he also just started on Medication. I am so anxious. hopefully this works.

      @@autismadvocating Hello ! this is actually the only peace of mind that I get nowadays. I think i have PTSD from when he eloped. I literally track him 5 times on the app daily, knowing he is at school! lol I have 5 other people on his team tracking him as well. This is the only peace in my life right now =)

      I'm so sorry your dealing with this.. just wondering do you have or have you tried getting him a 1:1 paraprofessional to have with him throughout his school day? I just got my child one this year, it does help a lot knowing she's always with him as well and still looking to get a tracker for extra peace of mind ... Please take care🙏

    Thank you soo much for sharing as I have 8 years old son with asd 3 and is non verbal. He also loves water & like to wonder off. Can you share any tips that helped your son speak? Thank you 🙏.

    • @autismadvocating
      @autismadvocating  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi there! I can't point to one thing and say this helped my son speak. I can tell you we used a combination of things. We had him in an autism program with other kids at the same level he was at, speech therapy and we were doing testing to check for deficiencies in vitamins and nutrients, etc. Then we added in all of the supplements. Basically helping with any of the things that were within our realm of control. Because as we both know, we have no control over when they speak. With did this under the guidance of his pediatrician and a biomedical physician. Hopefully that helps! Feel free to reach out with any additional questions.

    Did you have abt pushback from the facility? They allow the jiobit?

    • @autismadvocating
      @autismadvocating  Před rokem

      Hello! No, we did not get any pushback on the Jiobit. It does not "listen" so I don't know if that makes a difference. However, in all honesty, we didn't ask permission necessarily. We just notified them what it was that he was wearing so they knew. It could be a different story if it was a device that could listen into the classroom due to HIPAA.

    We are using Angelsense, but have been having issues lately. they are sending a new one on the att network...our current one is on TMobile. do you know what network the jiobit uses?

      @autismadvocating  Před rokem

      Hi! I do know that Jiobit just switched off of TMobile but I don't know what network they switched to. I can tell you that the new network seems to operate much better then TMobile on their newest device that we purchased just a couple months ago after we misplaced our last device. I will be posting an updated video soon. (I will try to reach out to Jiobit to find out which network they are using as well.)

      Do you know if these type of trackers are better than using an Apple Watch?

    • @autismadvocating
      @autismadvocating  Před rokem

      @@AmySolis2907 I can't comment on the Apple Watch because I don't know that it offers any tracking per say. I have been testing the Air Tag and I will be doing a video comparing the Jiobit and Air Tag soon. My biggest concern for the Air Tag is it is not meant for tracking so if your child gets lost, what is your course of action with Apple?? However, theoretically does it work, yes.

      @@AmySolis2907 hi, sorry I am not familiar with the apple watch. Been using the jiobit alongside Angelsense though. They both have pros and cons, but we have been with anglesense so long, we think we will be staying with them although they are more expensive.
