It is kinda of disappointing to hear that Jared has never visited Poland. He is half Polish and has family there, has travelled to Europe so many times, has probably been to Italy more times then he can count on both hands, yet he has never once gone to Poland? Has he no curiosity as to his background?
He did visit Poland last year. But for Padalecki family, they immigrated to US more than a century ago and they don't have any close relatives still living in Poland. I can see why it is harder to visit. Gen's grandparents were in Italy, it's different.
@@hanmeicui7119 I am not sure as to whether his family migrated to Poland a century ago, I do not think it was that long ago, especially given the cold war and having heard him speak of his heritage. However, humbly, it is irrelevant to me as to how long ago his family migrated from Poland. The issue is that he is heavily of Polish origins, yet he has never once been intellectually curious to visit the place that his family came from? He has the money to explore his heritage in ways others cannot afford and he exhibited little to no interest in it. Yes he went once last year for a convention, however he should have gone out of his own historical curiosity. It is disappointing to see how little he is interested in his ancestral roots. He even pronounces his own surname inaccurately.
@@Rebel_2891linguistics changes the way that things get pronounced. Look at Spanish for example, there are different variations depending on regions. The same thing happens with last names. As for visiting countries of origin, you are underestimating the ethnicity vs where you are from and how much some families came to the US and did everything to assimilate and not bring the European parts with them and the impact that has on later generations and their abilities to connect to the original country. I would point out that is the difference between the relationship that Gen has with Italy and her family's connection and his family's clearly lost connection if doesn't know much about the family he may or may not have still in the country.
