Boutta get to silver with this one 💪
Just got to bronze 😤 next stop, EVO
Lets go BIG DAWG
keep it going yall got this!
That’s pretty sad 😂
Im bouta get to Diamond with this one.
Some of the best players in the world are 40+ (Daigo/Itazan/Momochi [38]/Tokido [38]) without the best reactions but with awesome anticipation so don't be discouraged if your reactions aren't the best, you should still be able to whiff punish heavy buttons but most mediums and lights it's anticipation.
this is good advice. the vast majority of whiff punishing most people will do is not what punk calls 'real' whiff punishing (on reaction) but from spacing traps and guesses in footsie range
Anticipation isn't so hard when you're goading them into pressing it haha
Also a ton of it is spacing traps.
Boomers, unite!
I’m 37 and going to start SF6 tonight as the first fg to ever take seriously.
Haven’t played fg since SF3, CvS2 etc… and even back then I was only a casual player.
But what if I’m old AND SMOOTH BRAINED?! Lol
I like this a lot. A lot of guides like this try to have an answer for everything, but punk just says straight up "I can't teach raw reaction, you just have to get good at it your way"
When one of the top tier, best in the world type content creators drops a neutral guide like this, y'all best take heed
Awesome video, i never thought too much about spacing traps no wonder why I'm still gold hahaha.
Wow, I didn't expect to REIQ in Punk's comment section.
@@geothetwo well
If you see close enough you can see my print of Cammy next to the CZcams button :)
If it makes you feel any better, I’m in Master rank and I don’t think about spacing traps lol
Nice, I just finished reading the footsies handbook and 2 hours later this drops. Much appreciated mr. Punk, great vid
"Space Trap" concept was mindblowing! Thank you so much, Punk. Good work, bro.
I just wanna say Punk, I fought u in Street Fighter V, and i must say, you've been a Neutral god since SF4, its always a pleasure learning from one of the greats. This helped alot. Thank you.
Thank you thank you Punk. This helped me find what im missing. Buffering, and the speed i can back to back buffer. Its opening so much of the footsies. Thank you again.
This is about to be a legendary vid!
Excellent video Punk! those drills will definitely be helpful!
Yessir good stuff Punk!
This is awesome. Straightforward and honest. I've been working with whiff punish and drive rush check for several months with many pieces of advice but I can conclude that actually it requires a very good reaction to do. This video confirmed the opinion and yep I'm gonna work on it day by day and also work on what you teach us through the video. 🙏
Still figuring out why and when you decided to press jab and somehow get the counter hit from quite a range most of the time. 😅
Just hit Master recently and its tough fighting for MR. I have decent combos, AA and whiff punish for slow normals, but I really need to add buffering and spacing traps to take it to the next level. Thanks for this vid!
This video is great man thanks Punk!
This guide makes things so much easier to understand! I've been constantly told about things that sounded nebulous to me whenever I ask for help or look up how to get better at Neutral, but this guide makes things so much easier. I don't need to know every single term in the fgc to know what you're talking about here and that makes what I need to improve on so much easier to see. THANK YOU
Not everyone is a good teacher, no matter how much they think they are. Also different styles can work for different learners.
Thanks for the vid punk, very cool info and tidbits on everything you mentioned.
preciate the video punk!!
THANK YOU PUNKDAGOD! I REMEMBER SPECIFICALLY ASKING FOR DIS, CLASS IS IN SESSION AT THE ALPHA ACADEMY
Thanks for this content Punk. Much appreciated
Thanks for the guidance, this will be very helpful in sf6 and probably a bunch of other fighting games as well. As always, another great guide from the goat 🐐
PUNK 4 DAYS LEFT BEFORE THE PATCH TIER LIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love u punk
The timing for this couldn't be any more perfect
Thanks, Punk! It was really helpful and will try practicing all of those.
you legit maintain my interest in this game, through solidAF gameplay it gives me something to strive for
❤️❤️
Thank you so much Punk, looking forward to a potential future guide and resources for input buffering.
Very good Guide in my opinion, your guides are always a masterpiece and help us to improve, I know so many more things right now! thank you!
Finally haha punk listens to the people. Everyone has been asking for this in SF6. You fr the goat.
You did a great job explaining your topics, Punk! Thanks for all the information!

Great video bro
great segment on spacing traps, i feel like this alone can really level up someone's game. im a master guile player and dont intentionally do this so ill enjoy trying to implement it
great stuff 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! Very helpful
Awesome guide Punk. I'm at that skill level where im starting to learn about things like this. This guide helped me alot. Thanks. 👍👍👍
Very good guide. Extremely helpful
I never knew about spacing traps. My jaw dropped at that segment. Thank you, Punk.
Ur doing well brotha! Thanks for the tips and knowledge.
Just got into sf6. Thanks for the guide
Punk neutral guide huh. Yup I’ll definitely be watching and rewatching this a lot. Cheers bro 🎉🎉
Great explanation mate. Really helpful. So was another of your videos.
Liked subscribed. Thank you.
Actually this was very helpful and dope!
Wonderful!
this vid was very helpful I'm bouncing between gold 5 and plat 1 tbh my neutral is pretty trash lol so I'll defiently be practicing alot of this!
Thank you very much friend!
Great content
The best neutral video in sf6.
Damn bro this was a huge video. Thanks for your knowledge king.
I always hear you talking about neutral and i know i'm trash at neutral so thank you!
Thank you tons.
Thank you for sharing, Punk!
TEACH ME, MASTER!!!
As someone who is learning, I appreciate this effort.
Thank you punk I played back when it released but I stopped to play mk then tekken and with akuma coming out I wanna get back into sf6 and main him I wanna get nice so thank you for the neutral guide
Thank u my guy
Thank you Prof Punk
Im alrdy master but i love these kind of videos cuz i can always get something out of them :)
best video on tips!!! great Information!!!
So:
1- Anti Air
2- Don't walk backwards too much.
3- Whiff Punish
4- Anticipation. Learn which attacks your opponent uses more and act accordingly.
5- Buffering. While you use normals, do the motion of the specials, in case the normal hits.
6- Spacing Traps. Use a button to create space between the characters, your opponent whiff, you punish them.
7- Practice your reactions. Set the dummy to do a bunch of random things and react accordingly.
Buffering and space traps, noted!
My collage debt to the Alpha Academy is worth it.
Lmao
Alpha academy sounds like Andrew Tate made it up
🤣🤣🤣 i got you broski
man really said "get better at anti air" legend rank tips right here. Amazing.
For real, every video about "how to improve" starts with anti air. I can anti air like a mf and I'm still stuck in Plat 5 😂
Damn I lowkey agree tho. Anti-air and combos got me out of plat.
But my Chun deals 2800+ on a successful anti-air
@itsmety5074 that's a nice anti air for sure, Idk what jamies DP does off the top of my head but it's not that haha
@@vergils.lawnchairDo you know what makes your opponent jump? the game has layers, if your ground game is good, it forces jumps, whic makes knowing how to anti air better
@@itsmety5074 for sure anti air is really important but like for a guide you gotta elaborate on that cant just say git gud xD
Just came back after an 8 month break (I'm new to fighting games, so my goal was to get to Platinum, which took like a week and a half of labbing and a week of ranked) and remember so very little. Lol
So thanks for this!
Astro Man theme from MM8???? ya editor goated
Clutch tutorial next?
lol
What
You got notifications on just to be a loser and try to troll😂😂.
💀
Force burnout, push to corner, bam
You can’t teach em that if you ain’t clutch when it matters most. But maybe Punk should still teach it to get his strategy up
Bout to finally get above 1500 MR. 😭
I just started playing SF6 after not playing the series since 2 as a kid and I stink right now, so this was super helpful! The last tip was especially good since my reactions feel so slow because I spend too much time even processing the animations I'm seeing that by the time I know what button to press it's too late.
Let’s go !!
I’m a casual player used these tips and there was an instant change bet that up punk ✊🏿
this is national treasure
Very nice insight. I didnt thought buffering is method for make distance
A true Grand Master
Imma give this a shot. I hope you make a video for the update Punk
The lesson will always help all improve, but there will always be someone stronger!
Not bad, even if its info you know sometimes it takes it coming from a certain person for it to really sink in. Thanks Punk, you the goat.
Footsies guide from the footsies God!
Spacing traps is BRILLIANT! Never considered that!
Good Sh*T Bru..!! Many Blessings Punk..!!
"without further ado" -> some more ado lol
That buffering thing is amazing I never knew that
The spacing traps been killing me. RARGH!
Thanks punk
Oooooooh PUNK ma maaaaiiiiiin man 🥳🥳🥳 thanks for making this type of content broski. Its a gem, am still playing sf5 too. Trying to buy 6 isn't easy in African region. Once Akuma drops, please do a guide on him
You can’t get this anywhere else bruh.. lessons on Neutral the wit Whiff Punish 🐐 🙌🏻 fucken 🔥 bruh..love you PUNK❤
A neutral guide from Punk? My dreams have come true
Gracias máster punk
thank. you.
The thing is to even get into the range where you can whiff punish you gotta stop jumps and cross ups, raw drive rush and DI and know how to deal with every characters cheap neutral skipping tools. In plat and diamond people will avoid this distance like the plague. Definitely a great guide for higher level players from the best neutral master in the game.
Should be behind a pay wall. Great content
Alot of people dont realize this when they get better at fighting games, but its omega important. Keep your eyes on your opponent not your own character. This makes it ez to react and u can use your periferal vision to manage your own spacing. typically people dont start playing a game like this, but over time as you get used to the game this becomes ezr.
Just watching the intro: "he didn't have to say much. It's an ez concept, but he spittin"
PunkdaGoat
He say: Trials and Tribulations, remember me Ace Hood song. Good tips thank you a lot!
My goat 🐐
Yo you got the same Gucci glasses i got 😮 👍
oh yea I forgot about space traps. gona try adding that along with all the tools to get better at neutral
Saving this for later. Feel like I’ve been getting by on gimmicks and I want to get better at neutral and footsies so bad. I can’t purposefully whiff punish if my life depended on it.
i just started playing sf6 havent played since super sf2. didnt play 3rd strike none of the alphas nor 4 or 5. hit diamond with zangief but started playing with manon and lost all my matches so i can learn from the ground up with her. about to hit diamond with her. havent played a fighting game in over 20 years lol
Nice tips, Punk! Emphasizing anticipation was a nice inclusion. I feel like that doesn’t get much mention when people talk about how to play neutral
I just took a round of your Kimberly and I’m so proud
