Don’t trade the Tacoma for a 4Runner. Tacoma is way more fun to drive but the 4Runner is more capable. You went on the same trail as them and you did great.
It was a joke lol I would never
a little late to this video, i just picked up a 24 tacoma OR, you think stock suspension should be enough for this trail?
With some carefully driving you could. I honestly wouldn’t if you didn’t at least have some good tires and sliders
Dope video bro..
Thank you brotha!
Is that with stock suspension and just bigger tires.
33”‘tires and dobinson 2.6” front/ 2.1 “ rear lift
Hi Jon I , own a 2022 durango v6 awd, I'm working on getting a set of all terrain tires and a 2.75 lift it would put me a little over 10in clearance. But could I do this trail stock?
I would have to say probably lol. I have a newer corral hollow video that shows some of the obstacles a little bit better.
I don’t really know the capabilities of a Durango but I would think with some very careful driving you should be able to get through it. I would definitely get a pair of rock sliders before you do though.
@@RoamWithJon thanks , I'm going to check it out !
@@leoramirez6158 yeah, sorry I couldn’t give you better input. There are some sections where you could stack rocks or move logs to help navigate through if you have traction issues. Also you could throw some traction pads down to help aswell
Awesome vid! Which way did you enter the trail? From the south or north end?
Thanks! I believe we entered at the northern end, which is the most eastern entrance I think
@@RoamWithJon Nice! Thanks for the quick response. How long would you say the climb up took you? I'm planning on doing it with a 21 trd pro 4runner. Did they report any scraping?
Not sure, tbh we were stopping for pictures and videos a lot so to the main lookout it took us a long time. I’d say probably 30 minutes to the main lookout. Trail would be ok in a stock runner, with really good tire placement.
The outro.. "if you wanna keep c......" Sub'd
Honestly my number 1 sub
Nice video guys! Where is the vista point on the trail? Looks the trail splits in a few sections. Are you on NF07N88Y? Thanks!
The trail is marked on highway 4 should be easy to spot. We took the trail east to west. I didn’t really see any splits in the trail as far as I could tell, other than near where the cabin is. However, I’d probably download a Gaia or OnX map to make sure! As for the vista point, if you follow one of the trail maps you’ll eventually see an opening where you can pull off and see the view of bear valley 🤙🏽
@@RoamWithJon awesome! Thanks for the super quick reply! I’ll check it out tomorrow. I have all trails, Gaia and onX so I think I’m well covered there. The Gaia maps seem to show some offshoots but I’ll see when I get out there. Curious to see how it looks after some snow storms!
@@christopheralexander5121 No probs! I’ve seen shots of guys going up there and there’s already some snow. Looks like a fun trail to do in the snow
What part of Cali are you from ?
Prolly near by you since you’ve been to hollister haha, we’re out in the Livermore area
