Uganda launches three new pest-resistant coffee varieties

- Uganda has launched three new coffee varieties that are pest-resistant, but can also endure harsh weather conditions. The new varieties of Robusta coffee, produced by the National Agricultural Research Organization, will boost production and improve the livelihoods of many dependent on the cash crop, which is also Uganda's top agricultural export.
