I'm coming down from Arkansas to visit family and go to the Yellow Rails and Rice Festival soon. My relatives told me about Avery Island, and I can't wait to take a tour while I'm in town!
It's beautiful! I love the bamboo, I was born in Mamou Louisiana raised in West Lake and Lake Charles. I left back in the 80's moved to Los Angeles been there well over 20 years. My daughter was born in Lake Charles raised in Los Angeles. We moved back home got beat up pretty good by hurricane Laura. But it's good to be home. I would love to visit here. I remember it back in the 70's we would go there a lot. It's still beautiful 😊
