  • The defendant helped the plaintiff move some belongings into storage while she was in California. However, the plaintiff says the defendant put the storage unit in her name and is now demanding money to get access to her stuff, so the plaintiff is suing for stolen property. The defendant claims she saved the plaintiff's belongings from being auctioned off for nonpayment, so she stepped in to help. The defendant is countersuing for the money she spent on the storage unit.

So, HRA paid $1600 of the $2.1k storage bills and the defendant only paid $490. The only way HRA paid any money is because the defendant LIED and told them that the items in storage were her items, not someone else's. It was a double scam. She defrauded HRA and the plaintiff. As soon as she told the judge "I was trying to make a profit" I knew she couldn't be trusted. I will bet a 6-piece chicken dinner that the plaintiff later found items missing.

I personally do not think she looked 😞 defeated.. it appears to me that she doesn’t have a conscious. Look at her she doesn’t appear to feel phased by her conduct she feel entitled to the things in the storage ( remember she wanted to make a profit in order to make a profit you would have to put in the least amount of money down on the storage unit. In this case she put in $490.00 and she had the mitigated gall to sue the lady for $1500. For her own property.. and to top it off she lied to make it appear that the money HRA put in was from her bank account.. that why JM asked her to produce 🧾🧾🧾🧾 from her bank account to prove that she paid the storage fees. She is the kind of scammer who will look for anngles in a ⭕️ to wiggle their way out of their lies.
But people who creat Ponzi schemes to extract money out of people always get caught in a web 🕸️🕸️ of lies. Now remember she did this to her friends who gave her a place to stay when she was homeless.. and this is how she repaid them.. why couldn’t she have said I’ll help you out like you helped me when I was homeless.. isn’t that what friends do for each other they look out for each other in times of need.. how pathetic.😫

Sounds like an opportunistic move.. thanks for the clarification.. Harvey said she only paid 490 bucks of the storage unit. I see how she tried to gain control of the unit because her valuables are more than likely are more valuable..but to lie and and try to sue for 2100.00 for the unit is outrageous and then lie that she paid ( HRA portion plus the 490.00 ) is insane she thought she was slick but she did not know that the lady knew that HRA made the payments. So to me she was compelled to say she wanted to make a profit off of the storage unit. She wasn’t being honest by letting her true intentions be known this it was her slick way of getting the judge off of her back. Nor did she call her to let her know she said she abandoned her things. He behavior is despicable because these are the people who gave her a place to stay. So she decided to use the storage unit as leverage. I thought it was unusual for her to pay for a storage unit when she had no place to stay she inserted herself into a situation that wasn’t any of her business 😮

The judge usually says if the defendant doesn't have any proof they lose but in this case I can't believe that she's actually giving her a chance to prove her case at another time...

Yep she tried to take credit for the amount the HRA paid in the little 490 that she paid which equal up to 2100, so in theory she was trying to get credit for the 1600 as well,, She lied under oath and that's called stealing

As a storage manager if a person comes in its put in there name ID has to match the rental. We dont put anyone else as primary. Alot of ppl come in no ID or whatever the reason . Judge is right if it goes in lien status and is auctioned off ( California) after 3 to 4 months of non payments it can affect your credit. We tell ppl this all the time. And we ask are the items your storing yours! Most say yes. So legally its whoever the primary is.
