Even though I am not an American and was born many years after Bobby Kennedy's assassination, I cannot help but mourn for the life of this man. I was always fascinated by the Kennedy legacy and was inspired by the words and actions of Bobby in particular. My father, who grew up during the time of "Camelot" always said that "John F. Kennedy was a great president, but Bobby was the better human being."
Bobby, of course, had his flaws, as any human being does, but I think he represented the best of us and always gave hope for what was possible. What I think is the most admirable part of RFK was although he was raised in privilege, he wasn't blinded by his advantages in life and became one of the true champions of the poor, the disinherited and disenfranchised. Perhaps it was "the runt" status he had in his family that made him so passionate to fight for the underdog. To see footage of him visiting an inner city neighbourhood and asking a boy if he'd had lunch yet and seeing the look of anguish on Bobby's face as he touched the boy's cheek when the boy answered, "No" just tears at my gut every time. And to hear his call for unity during his Indianapolis speech on the night of MLK's death was so poignant and unforgettable. He told the crowd that he understood their mistrust of white people but to not succumb to anger and that he too, had one of his "family members" killed by a white man. Now, he reasoned, they must all remember what MLK stood for and continue to work towards peace and for a better country. That night, he helped to quell a potential riot. THAT was the stuff of a true leader. They don't make em' like that anymore.
For those interested, there is a documentary made a few years back called, "Ethel" by Rory Kennedy, the daughter of Bobby and Ethel Kennedy . Through interviews with Ethel Kennedy and her children, it's a very interesting, sometimes humorous and candid look at both Bobby, Ethel and the life they shared together. I admire Jackie Kennedy, but I think Ethel is often overlooked. Ethel is a truly amazing woman in her own right: intelligent, humble, spunky and so SO resilient. To not only witness her husband's death, give birth to their daughter months later and be left to raise 11 children on her own and to come out of it all without harbouring bitterness or resentment...she is just as exceptional as her husband was IMO. You can view this documentary on CZcams.
I really like the longer multi-act episode. More please! Simon, you're a Star!!!
Man the guys last words after being shot three times was "is everybody ok?". Not even worrying about himself.
I thought they were “everything will be ok”
That’s wat I’m saying🥺

New evidence suggests that Bobby Kennedy is the one who killed Marilyn Monroe.
"Evidence"
Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, JFK, ML King, and Robert Kennedy, amazing that everyone who espoused peace and unity in this country was shot in public. Coincidence, draw your own conclusions.
No, that's pretty obvious. I don't believe that anyone is arguing that Captain Obvious.
1968 from 4 April to Watts: the summer of blood. (I was born in September of that year, three or four days before the change to Autumn.)
Malcom.X was anti peace and unity
Yes..all of our freedom fighters were murdered. Hell it started with Lincoln.
Robert kennedy supported war against Arabs doesn't scream amaizing or peace to me
The notion that we might have had Bobby Kennedy instead of Richard Nixon is the most frustrating thing I've learned this month.
The owners of this country would never have allowed such a thing. Such is our history.
TheLazyKey sans the paranoia, Nixon wasn’t that bad of a President. If you had Kennedy, you wouldn’t have the EPA for example.
@@chrisconley8583 richard Nixon ran against both Kennedys who according to our government died by a lone gunman.
It only takes one asshole to change the course of history forever.
@@chrisconley8583 Why do you think Kennedy wouldn't have created the EPA?
By the way, this "dual bio of two closely related people" is a brilliant idea, so if you want to do more like this, might I suggest Abraham Lincoln and JW Booth, his assassin?
I'm soooo onboard for this!
Pls Simon
I totally agree on the multipart biography
Adding to that the fact that months before, Lincoln's son saved Booth's son's life!
@@stephanieh.777 Close, Booth's brother saved Lincoln's son, and it was after the assassination.
This was one of the best conspiracy presentations about the killing of former Senator Robert Kennedy and his assassin Sirhan-Sirhan and leaving the door open to think he did not kill alone. Everyone's talking about Simon, but his research team for all entities he does presentations for is fantastic. Simon's is a good presenter, no doubt, but his research team is the real stars. I'm going to acknowledge them, the researchers in my comment, both thumbs-up.
@Shahin Parsay Parsay, our minds are made up about who deserves the most recognition. You say Simon, I say the research team. Either way, neither one of us is wrong. You choose my comment to respond, thank you.
@Shahin Parsay Parsay, Simon gives presentations for at least 3 CZcams sites. I'm not sure if he has time to do the research! Just prep and present. If he has time to do the research and present, then Simon really is the one. I don't doubt you, but I don't see it.
@Shahin Parsay Okay, respect
I am a big fan of Simon. Based upon that, I waisted 6 hours of research to independently check that Sirhan Sirhan might be innocent. Was disappointed, the evidence against him is rock solid.
@@alanle1471 Mr. Alan, no argument from me, respect
I love my country, but can you imagine how different things would have been if the Kennedy men had survived?
It would have been amazing.
Swamp!
I just commented this. Had Robert Kennedy lived, we would probably have more advances in human rights... He actually cared about regular people. Had he lived, America wouldn't have undergone that embarrassing debacle known as Water Gate as RFK would not have done things like Nixon did. Sirhan Sirhan was a crazed fanatic who snuffed a great light out of this world...
Check AlternateHistoryHub's video on "What If JFK survived".
Can you imagine how bad it will be under Biden and Harris ? Or is i5 Harris Biden?
I dig the format. Merging together biographies of people who are inextricably linked by history is a good way to do it.

I remember that night. Living in D.C. I had fallen asleep on the couch watching T.V. When I woke about 3am the station was still on and broadcasting this news. In those days the chanels would sign off late at night. Very sad night.
I remember this like yesterday. Your program brought all those feelings back, and when I heard the audio, I cried as hard as I did in 1968. It was a hard one to listen to, but it was very good.
Hi Simon! I wanted to say how much I love your channels, Biographics is my personal favorite! I love learning about history and Robert Kennedy is actually a figure I knew very little about, this video was incredible! Such a tragic story.
A biography on famous/infamous pirates would be awesome.

Hands down loving this 2-for-1 format!
This one was incredible.
Thank you for giving us meaty content.
Yes. Too bad it's Pure Rubbish.
Good choice to move to 30 minutes instead of 20. Simon can breath and do a great job.
Both summaries where outstanding. Arnaldo found a winning formula with two parallel stories. It was with the right amount of details and without any kind of bias. Please do more like this.
Kennedy - "Is everybody OK?”
Romero - 'Yes, everybody's OK'.
Kennedy - “Everything's going to be OK.”
Those were his last words...
...gods damn it that's hard to hear.
i'm not the biggest fan of the Kennedy's but if even Half of his platform's political goals were achieved with less than the same amount of hinky conspiratorial crap his older brothers administration had got into... I think he would have created the 'Second' Camelot, or a Rather highly respected presidential tenure.
He likely would have been better than JFK, perhaps one of the best America would ever have. Most definitely an improvement over Nixon! If only, huh?
Think of all LBJ brought to our country. He deserves recognition and NEVER gets it. NEVER.
@@RickReasonnz Rick, he immediately went after the mob. We all knew the mob got him elected. We were happy he won. We were joyous. Bobby was AG he immediately went after the mob. Oh, The Kennedy Brothers assasinations. Truly great politicians and humans. Such a tragic tale in the 60's.
Well if they are going by the conspiracy theories. They are both killed by the Republican party. It is well known that the FBI, CIA and US intel agency are conservatives by nature.

I really like the extended video format, great videos keep them up.
Longer format is lovely. Just long enough to get the info across without being too long. Again Lovely.

I liked the format, showing two perspectives of an historical event.
Lincoln and Booth would be very interesting.
Pamela Mays There are two sides to every story. It's like my favorite quote about Star Wars he was, to one set, you are cheering the rebels.. but to another side you are wishing victory for a bunch of terrorists.
It would probably get banned by CZcams like Pocahontas. And it doesn’t subscribe to Bernie Sanders’ ideals (conclusion determined by the successive Bernie ads on this video. Also just my opinion)
Both my mother & my father worked at the Correctional Training Facility at Soledad when Sirhan was there.

Great work man!! New formats a HIT
Awesome bio, Simon! Bobby’s story isn’t incredibly well known, so I appreciate this :)
I absolutely love the extended three-act episode. Because it allows me to get into depth of the lesser-known RFK and even less known shooter which I didn't even know his name

The editing seems improved over previous videos I've seen. Much smoother and sentence pauses better spaced. Great video.
Love Bobby Kennedy. It would be a different America if he had lived and became President.
Except we don't know that. Congress would have still been the same, would they have blocked him? Would he caved to political pressure and backed down a bit? What promises would NOT be fulfilled (every President has them due to time, chance and things one knows as President that you DON'T as candidate). We can speculate, but we can never be sure things would be different.
@@Saitaina Bobby was a pitbull he would have fought blood tooth and nails to get what he wanted and would have pissed a lot of people off in the process. They most likely would have quit and it would have been different.
What we can safely assume is that had RFK not been killed that things would be different today. The real question is would things be different for the better or the worse.
The owners of this country would never allow such a thing. Grow up and smell the conspiracy.
For the worse.
I'm going for the mk ultra option with multiple shooters
Nice job on this one
I really like this format. Nothing in history happens in a vacuum and this extended format allows for fuller explanation. Thanks!
Makes great sense of a complex subject in this format. Congrats to Simon and all the team
imagine the investigations he would have launched into JFK's assassination
and that is why he was not allowed to win. Sirhan was a decoy, the patsy. Coup In America. (CIA)
RFK supported the Warren Commission though.
@@generalfred9426 In private he knew it was a lie. On Nov. 22, 1963 he called the Director of Central Intel asked him if his agency did the crime. Later, he told his closest associates that he planned to reopen the investigation if he became President. See "Brothers" by David Talbot, lots of detail about that. The family also sent an envoy to tell Krushchev they knew the Soviets were not involved, it was the US right wing militarists who did it, and better US Soviet relations would have to wait until Bobby won in 1968.
@@markrobinowitz8473 The CIA director told RFK that they weren't behind the assassination. RFK later on said he was convinced that the CIA wasn't behind his brother's assassination.
David Talbot is a conspiracy theorist. His claims that RFK thought the Commission was a hack was debunked.
Why would RFK, an influential politician and a great attorney general wait *5 years* where all the supposed evidence was getting destroyed and suppressed? What stopped him from launching his own investigation into JFK's death?
Oh wait because he believed in the Warren Report.
@@generalfred9426 What RFK said in public was not the same that he said in private. RFK and Jackie sent a trusted friend to tell Krushchev - in person - they knew it was the US right wing militarists that killed JFK. What stopped him from launching his own investigation is he was no longer attorney general. As he said in private, only the powers of the Presidency would allow him to do a real investigation. RFK's close allies support Talbot's documentation and don't have epithets to describe his work. Several of them have called on Congress to reopen the investigations of RFK, JFK, MLK and Malcolm X's assassinations. It doesn't matter what some random anonymous post on youtube thinks about this -- Allen Dulles understood Bobby knew what happened, that matters far more.
If I could afford to support you Simon, I would. I know this might sound "creepy", but I watch all of your content and you help take me to a better place. Ok, that didn't sound right... Simon, your content makes my life just a little bit better. I truly appreciate your work.

I hear ya, mate. If you can't support Biographics financially, then I have some good news for you. There are other things you can still do to help the channel and you've already done at least 1 of them.
1. Watch the whole video.
2. Comment (this is the one which you have obviously already done!)
3. Click 'Like' on their video.
4. Subscribe (which includes 'hit the bell' nowadays).
5. Share on social media.
As I understand it, every single thing on that list helps the channel. Every little bit helps, and it's a great way to repay them for their efforts if you have no other realistic options.
Just wanted to add: That's pretty hypocritical of me because I don't do social media (because I think it's creepy af, I'm sure you get that), but if you're on social media then I implore you to use it to sometimes share any Biographics videos you've really enjoyed.
(Also, if some actual legit CZcamsr could confirm or deny whether or not any of things help, I'd love to hear a reply from them.)
Coming out of a years long depression, I can relate. Some days are really hard, but there are better days ahead of you.
