I like walking around Owerri quite often. The huge problem here is lack of side walks for pedestrians. Why they construct roads with no pedestrian paths keep me wondering.Everyone must not go by car or bike.Another one is the lack of street dustbins to throw in debris or waste.Better drainage system is another issue.Maintenance is key for development. Thanks for sharing.

The only thing i like about the city is how it is organized. The problem here is lack of maintenance, so many sections of the road is filled with portholes or were damaged. This particular areas is supposed to be maintained continually irrespective the administration just as Enugu State government continues to maintain independence layout. This area would have been more beautiful if the drainages were closed with inclusion of walkways.

one of the problems Imo has suffered in the last 13 years is the LOCAL governors they've been saddled with! The duo of Okorocha and Uzodinma are too local, lack class and see nothing wrong in the cheap, pretentious and tacky projects they deliver! Uzodinma in particular has not concept of clean, neat roads with well manicured grass verges. see wild grasses, potholes and rubbish dumps all over the place!

I don't think Nigerian leaders understand that this open grazing, cattle walking up and down the country can turn Nigeria to a desert.Just like human walking on grasses create a footpath, cattle walking on these greens will eventually stop grasses from growing, turning the place to sandy desert. This culture of open grazing turned North Africa to desert due to centuries of open grazing..Owerri need to extend this greenery to every part of the city.Thank you.
