    The point about rotational weight is excellent. One more note regarding it, the smaller your tire diameter the less rotational mass you will have. So if you want to try wide try fixed gear 650b aka 27.5 inch wheels+tires are a good choice.

      That makes sense! I hadn't thought about it though. The Skream Ranger that I tried in Vienna had 650b and 45 mm tires :)

    I kinda wonder how a Fixie Fatbike would handle, maybe with a 2:1 gearing or something like that.

      Spin to win! Would probably be really freaking cool. Go brakeless in the sand.

    Great insights!
    I built a FG with a 90's MTB frame. Run WTB byway 47 tyres on 650b rims. I don't do mountain bike trails but find it's good for off-road and small jumps, and the semi-slick center on these tyres means minimal rolling resistance on road.
    I have WTB resolut 42's which are more knobbly and great for wet off-road riding, but the bigger byways are a better fit for my riding thanks to the thread pattern

    Of course, mine fixie can fix 35mm at least, and now i fit 32mm front and rear that's soooooo good.

      @@addvurtbikes Please just don't. I will say 32mm pro one and 32mm sworks mondo are much better.

    Tried from 23-622 to 32-622. Will be staying on 28 for city cruising.

      Hi! I don’t know actually. I’m using The ones that came stock on my Ribble. There is no branding on the rim brakes, but the levers are tektro.

    What size of the tire is it 700x32?

    • @addvurtbikes
      @addvurtbikes  Před měsícem +1

      In this video, I am riding 42 millimeters. I guess it would be called 622x42? Diameter terms confuse me.
