I changed mine in like 5 minutes on my CLS55 AMG didnt even remove the black bracket. Car went from wobbling and feeling like shit at 3k rpms to being smooth as butter all up and down the rev range, feels much faster too. Man I fell in love with my AMG again.
Hello - Could you please make a video on how to jack up the car from the front like you did, and possible jack stand points to work on car? There's absolutely NO ONE that makes a video on that for MB cars.
Yes, I was experiencing noise (like thumping/rattling) when I would get off the gas. I assumed it was a mount...either trans or engine. Since trans is the easier of the two options I went with trans first. Also, my E63 has high miles so I figured it was about due anyway. Engine mounts are probably next...
Yes, all four corners are off the ground. The clearance needed really depends on what you (yourself) need and the floor jack to get underneath the car. The highest (or close to) is what I used.
What were your symptoms to replace? I'm at 94k miles and I feel like I've been doing literally everything to mine that you are to yours lol every time I search you're the first video
There was a slight chatter at times and a little movement when torque was applied to engine. And I figured it was just time due to the miles on my car 🤷🏽♂️. Lol…well thanks for clicking on mine videos. I truly appreciate that!

You dont need to take the crossmember off

The jack is holding up the engine from the ATF pan? Hmm, not sure I'd recommend that.

Did you put the car on jack stands on four spots and how high did you need them, trying to determine how much clearance I need? Thanks
