Kent & East Sussex Railway 50th Anniversary Gala (1974 - 2024)

Today we visit the Kent and East Sussex railway for their 50th anniversary gala, 1974 to 2024. During the event Knowle the terrier is back in service, Hastings is double heading with her. we also have U class visiting as well as a standard 4 and the austerity 'swiftsure'.
At the end of the line at bodium there are miniature traction engines as well as a heritage bus ride down to robertsbridge where Britannia and class 73 recently named 'Kent and East Sussex railway' are putting on a shut service down the line.
When back at tenterden station there are traction engines, g scale model railways and a hive of activity with the various stalls and food outlets available...
This event was amazing and the K&ESR have don't a incredible job putting this together and if you are ever in the area, I highly recommend you pay the railway a visit and here's to another 50 years...

I’m just gonna say it, Poplar looks nowhere near as good in Southern black compared to the improved engine green it had before.

As much as I'm inclined to agree at least its something different in preservation as you still have the Southern greens on the IOW but it would be nicer, can see it being repainted at some point!
