You’ve talked about growing up with your favorite group as an exciting journey in your previous reaction (I aint got you with Onew, Rosie and SuHyun). I totally agree with you. You can totally see growth. SHINee has always been amazing but they always polish their craft. Onew is still taking vocal lessons (13 years into his singing career).

So fun fact, on that show "IU's Pallete" IU said that she's a fan of Onew's voice and if she was a man, her ideal voice would be Onew's because its her favorite. She also mentioned that if she's getting ask who artist she want to do collab with, she would answer "Onew". (and somehow Onew's who maybe didn't really realize how amazing he is, got surprise that IU like his voice, and asking why in disbelief)

Shinee has brilliant harmonies. For live vocals and to see another side of Shinee, I would definitely recommend SHINee - "An Encore" from SHINee WORLD IV. Also, Onew and Jonghyun's duet, "Please Don't Go." Songs that mean a lot to Shinee would also be great "Selene 6.23" (Jonghyun wrote this song, among many, but Onew has repeatedly said it's his favorite Shinee song), or "Our Page" (written by the members for Jonghyun)/

After all these years, Onew finally got the recognition he deserves. Especially on singing and performing. His chill personality makes him less stand out than the other members. He likes to watch his dongsaeng-deul playing around and give them warm big smile. He likes to watch them from a side, laugh when Jong and Kibum fight, scolds Minho a bit when he jokes too harsh with Team. Onew is that strong foundation that people barely notice. Thanks for this reaction.

Onew has always been my real bias in shinee. I love all the members but he is like a warm hug and hot cocoa on a winter night. His voice is like being covered in warmth and coziness. It stands out so much yet the wielder of the voice is relentlessly humble. He’s a treasure!
IU is literally one of my favorite artists not only because of her voice but because of her personality. she's so cool and chill and genuine and her show IU' Palette is just so authentic, I really recommend!

SHINee’s FIVE VOICES together is always immaculate! SHINee’s Ballads are gems coz of the members’ different tones and harmomies. Ofc even wonderful with FIVE voices.. but they def. def. did a super wonderful performance with this one.

There's so many performances (acoustic & ballads) of theirs you can watch if you want to.
I think you'll really like their songs from The Muzit in 2010. They sang in an acoustic setting with a band again (although sadly Minho wasn't there).

It's been few months since this amazing cover ver of IU's 'Dear Name' and every time listening to it I always end up in tears, the lyrics add more meaning to their cover ver. I can't help but remembering that Jonghyun is one of IU's best friend and seeing SHINee and IU cover each other's song and SHINee choosed this song makes me have mixed feeling~ bittersweet memories ~ and I really2 hope in future, IU and ONEW will have more collaborations because they will sound extremely amazing together~

You can really see that live is their thing, I think I've rarely heard a band sing so well live, their voices are magnificent, pure, sublime, crystalline, a real pleasure for the ears. ❤++ONEW++ ❤

SHINee's version of "Dear Name" is different than IU's original version, so if you haven't heard the original version I encourage you to check it out. If you pay attention to the lyrics of the song you will see why this song is so meaningful to SHINee -- SHINee's version of the song is dedicated to Jonghyun. So the "Dear Name" they are talking about is Jonghyun.
Fun fact: IU's song "Gloomy Clock" -- one of her older songs -- was wrote by Jonghyun. Jonghyun and IU were really good friends and when she heard "Gloomy Clock" she asked him to give it to her. Jonghyun always said that after hearing IU sing "Gloomy Clock" he knew the song was meant for her, and in hindsight he thinks he might have subconsciously wrote the song with her in mind.
Because IU and Jonghyun were so close, that is why she was surprised that SHINee chose to sing "Dear Name" out of all of her songs, because she knows the deep meaning the lyrics have for all of them.
SHINee are known for their ballads and for their amazing harmonies, that is why they are so highly respected in the industry. Their live vocals are unmatched and everyone in the industry idolizes them for the amount of talent they have. Even as rookies they were highly respected by their seniors and peers for their live vocal abilities and the fact that they sound even better live then they do recorded. SHINee live are on a whole other level. They are some of the best vocalists in the industry. And just think, Minho is the main rapper of the group. How often do you see a rapper that can sing as well as him?
Onew is also known for his ability to hold notes for a very long time. IU also did a cover of SHINee's song "Sherlock" in this same interview. But if you don't remember what SHINee's version sounds like, check out the original version first, so you can understand just how unique and cool IU's remixed version was. Both covers are way different then their original versions.

As you may know, IU is a solo artist who debuted 4 months after SHINee, who is known as "the nation's little sister." She is known for her amazing vocal range and for her cute bubbly personality. She is also one of Korea's top actresses -- she has even acted in a drama with Minho. And she has had song collaborations with Key and Taemin already. In the show, IU actually mentioned how Onew also was one of her favorite male voices and they even talked about how they should do a collaboration together.

since you like these acoustic settings I reaalllyy recommend this compilation of the Korean show Superband where indie artists come together to form bands and cover ah-mazing songs acoustically, it's perfection - "Some of you have never watched Superband and it shows" (for example the Rose singer Woosung participated as well)

Often when people make reaction video, they skipped comment about Minho and only praised other members. Being compared with his excellent members, people only see him as the visual with so-so vocal ability ,but if you put him in other groups, he can be the lead or main vocalist as well. And he is the main rapper here, he don't get proper training as vocalist because SM trained him to be the rapper. Because of those perception, Minho seems not so confident when singing, and often members had to encourage him to confidently singing because they know he has a sweet honey like voice and the skills, only not the confidence. Usually he tends to take critics harder on himself then overcome it by working harder and harder. Only now he start to be more confidence when singing, so I hope we can hear more of his beautiful voice.
