Agreed. The slow motion actually took away from demonstrating the full difficulty of these moves. Most things look easier when done very slow, and these are no exception. Showing the slips at full speed would have added very little time, but a lot of value.
God bless those people, Seriously the way they effortlessly just move their body as if it were a feather!!! Like I have a hard enough time getting out of the pool.
My God am I in awe of these dancers! I am not qualified or nearly knowledgeable enough to critique their technique, but I find them spectacular, and I am very grateful for all of their hard-word, dedication and especially of their inspiration that they share with the rest of us. Bravo!
To be the best in any sport is very difficut, especially now with ever increasing numbers competing at the highest levels. But be the athlete to jump the highest, be the fastest, have the best balance & hyper-flexibility, keep perfect synchronization with the timing of another; then maintain a healthy, slender, muscular, PERFECT body & look impeccably beautiful, graceful & elegant during every performance all this seems impossible & is awsome to behold. This is something only the angles could accomplish until there was ballet. Ask any athlete, man or woman (they're out there), who has done more than a year or two of ballet classes. There's nothing more difficult ever.
@donnak0125 I agree everything that was said!! It’s so frustrating when people think ballet or any type of dance is easy. We put our blood, sweat, and tears into every practice and performance.
Same with figure skating. Plus there's the factor of fitting the mold. My routines center around well known pop culture bc if the judges don't recognize it they won't like it. Iconic psycho soundtrack vs Zappaguri from Parasite. I love them both but Psycho would win bc of its legacy. Never gamble with medals on the line.
Katherine Grey I have a close friend who does ballet. She even tried to teach me some and I looked like I was drunk XD. I also play a bit of football. I play on a small field so I can only imagine how hard it is the play FIFA irl.
Katherine Grey 3 months is probably not enough time to understand how hard ballet is. I can strongly agree with you that ballet is much easily said than done. Me trying a basic move made me almost topple over. But Football is still pretty difficult. Try playing just 70 minutes of football. FATIGUE WILL KILL YOU! Plus I live in Jamaica so the sun shines bright all throughout the match. Ballet = Football. In terms of difficulty. It realy depends on the person. If you are flexible and good at "multitasking", ballet. If you have a lot of Stamina and willing to learn rules and other things, football.
I have been dancing since I was 3 I am 16 now and don't underestimate the moves they are doing cause as a dancer I know that they require a lot of dedication and energy
It's so freaky to see people do all this amazing stuff in that studio while at the same time I have class in that very studio multiple times a week. Like they're doing all that cool stuff and I'm falling out of my turns in the same exact spot
I loved the Asian ballerina’s 1st jump. It was so beautiful and elegant, but then you realize the power she has to have to do it. I loved all the jumps and have major respect for their dedication and ability.
Normally I wouldn't welcome the slow-motion in dance footage, but I'd like to thank the video makers for the slow-mo on the fouttes, because it meant I could watch the ballerina go right up on her pointe so cleanly and perfectly.
She's going to weigh at least 40kg, and that's not an easy weight to hold above your head on one hand (especially when she's moving). They make it look deceptively easy but we'd probably break our backs trying.
I can't imagine the challenges they went through to get where they are today.. maybe having parents who thought being a ballet dancer wouldn't be the best career, having teachers telling them constantly to raise the bar on everything they do etc. Perseverance!!
I've started ballet a year ago, when I was 12, and I have to stay with the 10 year olds until I'm good enough. I feel kinda humiliated but I know determination is key
Sometimes I wish my parents had put me through ballet so I could be like these people but then I remember that ballet is super physically demanding and I probably would have given up after a year or two.
I do Australian calisthenics dance and for me the hardest thing to do is a clubs swinging routine (I know it’s not just a move and technically not ballet) but it’s also my favourite thing as it’s challenging, the routine my team is doing is the hardest I’ve had to ever learn as I changed teams this year and their work is much more advanced than my previous team
I've never seen that 540 Battement en Rond in Ballet. Must be his (or choreographer's) balletic variation of the 540 kick often seen in Tricking/martial arts. I'd like to see where it's featured in their repertoire.
Just make sure when you pull up to passé squeeze your core and butt and turn out when you prep. I spotted my bright wall decal so spot something big, just a few tips!
I can barely walk straight man...
Adiam Daniel right
SAME
Right? I trip on flat surfaces...
Me too
@@littleblackdot3434 youre the of the lucky ones, i trip on air

+Jinhunter hilarious

+Jinhunter Slay
*MY LEGS!!!!! I !@#$%^ING BROKE MY LEEEEGS!!!*
HAHAHAHAHA
AMazing. I miss dancing after watching this!
Amazing
Imo, dance strength, fitness and discipline is massively underrated.
As a volleyball player I envy a professional dancer's power. Explosive movements + body control, sign of an athlete.
WOW
I had no idea you were a dancer, but looking at your figure, I see the markers.
This is easy
You just have to break all your bones
Really tho
i agree
And then break them again until it works.
hellaeric10 you’ll end up with a sloppy body because your bones are all powder lmao
LoL 🤣
And here´s me, barely able to do a single pirouette without stumbling
I'm a dancer and here's a tip: when you feel like your gonna fall, slightly bend your leg that you're turning on! :)
+Heaven Reynolds That's a really bad habit! I do that on my bad leg and it creates a whole world of problems
Ikr, same... Guess we'll just have to practice more!
LadyofSwearsalot Ahhh me 2!!!
Same!
Their muscular strength never ceases to astound me!
To people who don't think ballet is not fucking hard well try this!
Veronica Reed oh my God thank you for saying this. Ballet is one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life and that's why I love doing it
Wish we could have seen the moves done full speed, in addition to the suspended/slow-motion demonstrations. Only the double fouettés fulfilled that.
Agreed. The slow motion actually took away from demonstrating the full difficulty of these moves. Most things look easier when done very slow, and these are no exception. Showing the slips at full speed would have added very little time, but a lot of value.
I walk a whole alot of slow motion but i drink beer with light speed. Execute..now i take a bow..in the toilet
God bless those people, Seriously the way they effortlessly just move their body as if it were a feather!!! Like I have a hard enough time getting out of the pool.
i love 1:56 because they seem so chill, like "yeah whatever that just happened no biggy"
the last move is beautiful
okay
My God am I in awe of these dancers! I am not qualified or nearly knowledgeable enough to critique their technique, but I find them spectacular, and I am very grateful for all of their hard-word, dedication and especially of their inspiration that they share with the rest of us. Bravo!

donnak0125 you forgot "and smile" at the end of all that! Yes there is nothing more difficult but also nothing more rewarding.
@donnak0125 I agree everything that was said!! It’s so frustrating when people think ballet or any type of dance is easy. We put our blood, sweat, and tears into every practice and performance.

I'm a dancer and this is so inspiring I have been dancing since I was three (7 years) and love ballet, these dancers are absolutely beautiful❤️
congrats you are now 13. where are the grandkids?
like congratulations footballers, you have successfully kicked a sack of air around a patch of grass.
graceful.crafts Both ballet and being a footballer is equally hard.
Katherine Grey I have a close friend who does ballet. She even tried to teach me some and I looked like I was drunk XD. I also play a bit of football. I play on a small field so I can only imagine how hard it is the play FIFA irl.

Katherine Grey I totally agree.
k guys I admit im a ballerina and I am absoloutely hopeless at football lmao
One can appreciate the many years it has taken to get to these levels. Bravo!
Am I the only one who noticed that the background music is 'Once Upon a Dream'?
well the song is originally from the ballet
Sam Mundy it's from swan lake
its from sleeping beauty ballet by Tchaikovsky
I have been dancing since I was 3 I am 16 now and don't underestimate the moves they are doing cause as a dancer I know that they require a lot of dedication and energy
I'll marry anyone who can do the Cheshire cat lift
Half of being able to do it is you being able to do it too
Sophia T. Wut?
They mean you have to be able to do it too. Because it's not a Cheshire Cat lift with just one person.
The Butterfly looks amazing. All the moves do.
Ballet has recently just captivated my heart and respect lately. This video is just beyond impressive, really!
Ballet will ALWAYS be the most complex dance form. Just pure flexibility & body control.
"So it's a challenge." No, me finding the remote control amongst the empty potato chip bags on my couch is a challenge. This is amazing!
Stunning, and love the slow motion frames. Ta.
Normally I wouldn't welcome the slow-motion in dance footage, but I'd like to thank the video makers for the slow-mo on the fouttes, because it meant I could watch the ballerina go right up on her pointe so cleanly and perfectly.
Holy shit you can tell the little Asian girl is light as fuck
i know right! lol its like shes a feather!!
She's going to weigh at least 40kg, and that's not an easy weight to hold above your head on one hand (especially when she's moving). They make it look deceptively easy but we'd probably break our backs trying.
Do NOT call her little Asian girl. SHE IS MAKI AND YOU SHOULD RESPECT HER.
Charlotte Tomlinson PewDiePie
You know you're a master of your craft when you can pull off your biggest challenge so gracefully
they're so beautiful.
Amazing moves, I'm so impressed. Great job, everyone!
I love this video. I love how the slow motion is able to capture the true difficulty associated with thes moves.
I can't imagine the challenges they went through to get where they are today.. maybe having parents who thought being a ballet dancer wouldn't be the best career, having teachers telling them constantly to raise the bar on everything they do etc. Perseverance!!
Its beautiful to see all sorts of different and unique people doing something they love all in common; ballet.
Incredible, absolutely incredible. Such immense athleticism and grace.
Beautiful, thank you for sharing.
I've started ballet a year ago, when I was 12, and I have to stay with the 10 year olds until I'm good enough. I feel kinda humiliated but I know determination is key
BRAVO for all dancers 👏👏... amazing..
stunning...such respect for these dancers.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'm fired up for ballet class tonight now.
When I was younger I went to this school, the Washington Ballet, and I will tell you they are very strict but taught me so much.
Beautiful & talented dancers
very, very nice. I've never seen anything like it before. I loved it, fantastic!
The last one gave me a serious case of goose bumps
This is amazing stuff.
Absolutely wonderful.
hey! once upon a dream. i love that musical piece it's so sofa and warming.
Hearing their shoes hit the floor really shows you how much power and strength it takes to land these moves.
I used to take lessons there when I lived in DC area. It is great school!
This is my 7th year of dance also but I am 11 now I started dance in kindergarten or preschool
I like the video and the steps. They were amazing. Good job!☺☺☺
It is amazing to see how even though they are the hardest, they snail everyone of them
Beautiful!
The grace,the beauty, the craftsmenship
YES WB! We want MORE!!
I have been doing gymnastics and ballet since I was 3, it's now my 9th year and I have finally gotten into a representative team!
Sophie Taunton yay good job!!

The lift was the single most beautiful thing I have ever seen
The lift at the end is incredible!
Wow amazing. Very inspiring!
Beautiful Luis!
wonderfull i wish i can be like you guys
its just amzing and beautiful! :)))
At the height of my ballet career I could do that lift and only two double tours. These dancers are so amazing
That was amazing!!!
AMAZING!
Ballerinas are freaking amazing!
that end lift was insane!
Whaaaaat Andile Ndlovu! South Africa represent!!
Sometimes I wish my parents had put me through ballet so I could be like these people but then I remember that ballet is super physically demanding and I probably would have given up after a year or two.

Hâte de voir le même travail avec des danseurs hip hop ! Cela doit être aussi très impressionnant......!!
that is just sooo cool I wish I could do that
Wow...Stunning!
It must feel amazing!
I miss ballet
You can still do it!
I can only do two of these. This takes alot of hard work and practice. I want to dance with a partner but i can never find one. 💜
My dance studio does intensives with Corey Landlot. I'm pretty sure I might be meeting him in a few weeks!
Who noticed the song once upon a dream?? I love that song so much I kinda just started freaking out lol
I do Australian calisthenics dance and for me the hardest thing to do is a clubs swinging routine (I know it’s not just a move and technically not ballet) but it’s also my favourite thing as it’s challenging, the routine my team is doing is the hardest I’ve had to ever learn as I changed teams this year and their work is much more advanced than my previous team
wow just wow bro I wish that I could do this!!!!!!
I am really scared of jump split cause I always think that I might land in sleep
Spectacular!
The hardest moves are always the prettiest
I've never seen that 540 Battement en Rond in Ballet. Must be his (or choreographer's) balletic variation of the 540 kick often seen in Tricking/martial arts. I'd like to see where it's featured in their repertoire.
I like these
Me too im so scared doing pirouettes.. i think that i will fall down or something.. but i really need to practice MORE..
Just make sure when you pull up to passé squeeze your core and butt and turn out when you prep. I spotted my bright wall decal so spot something big, just a few tips!
I can almost do that if I hurt my self hahaha but you're amazing 😝
Anyone know where I can find the music they used here at 36 seconds? Is it a version of Clair de Lune? If so, who did it?
I can't even imagine
