In this video Gift and I give a brief update on what we have learned since posting our last video “Flight From Hell, Bangkok to Dubai”. Gift and I consider ourselves extremely lucky and fortunate that we were not impacted like so many in Dubai. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the families that lost loved ones and to all still impacted by the heavy rainfalls (severe weather) in Dubai. The lesson learned for us is, no matter how bad we think our situation is, it is always worse for others and we need to count our blessings each and every day.

It's not your fault to feel frustrated. There should be an onboard announcement clearly informing passengers that Dubai is experiencing severe flooding, causing significant disruptions at the airport.Perhaps EK could communicate forthrightly, since it is force majeure and not the airline’s fault.

This is a walk down memory lane, my friend. I haven't been in that area in 20 years! Still as beautiful as ever. There was nothing like that view of the Dolomiti from the flight line area in the morning. That ride up to Piancavallo and the views from there were always gorgeous, too. Enjoy yourselves!

Hi Gift and Joe, so glad that you have recovered from your ordeal and that your luggage migh arrive soon. Well done for your introduction explaining how many people are worse off than you were. I know of some people who were on the same flight as you were from Bangkok to Dubai en route to Manchester who were still there yesterday (Saturday 20th) waiting for an onward flight. Apparently Dubai Airport is running out of food and water so thanks to your eagle eyes Joe you managed to get your connecting flight to Venice. Gift, I am so glad that you are enjoying yourself and that you managed to get a warmer coat. You remind me of the first time I took my wife Orapan, and step daughter, Yuy, to England for the first time in April 2014. Everything is so new and exciting, the language, the weather, the shops, the food, just everything! Sometimes it is hard to express with words how exciting it all is, but tour eyes and whole face show how happy you are. God bless you both 😀❤🙏

I always carry a back pack on the plane primarily for my laptop, power bank and power cords. Also in there- a light change of clothes for both of us and tooth brushes and tooth paste for emergencies.
Had all that except for the wall adapter.
