Watching your videos has just cost me £4k. Got myself a nice Transit professionally converted 3 days ago. Now adding solar, inverter, batteries ad a diesel heater, all ready for some off grid winter camping trips. Vanlife is awesome. Went with some friends earlier this year + watching your videos and had to get my own.
Get a Jackery or some other power pack
@@russthomas02 I have 300AH battery, split charger. Plus 350w of solar. No need for a power pack. I'm doing my own custom system built into one of the cupboards.
you want to get a 230v plug in laptop charger and an electric blanket 1 hr and your lovely and walm on 100 watts and the laptop charger doesent sp you battery like an inverter

Glad you’re back to the stealth camping love it! For your keys try the following. Put them in the Ignition, turn the keys until the light come on the dashboard but don’t start the engine! Press open and close until the the van starts to lock and unlock at the same time the turn the ignition and stop. They keys might need to be synced to the van. It used to happen to Vauxhalls and it was a quick and easy way to re programme them
I used to live in a van, and watched a ton of vanlife vids, and this is definitely the most realistic one I’ve ever seen. Kudos!

Did the van life for 3 years, gave it up 2 years ago but have really missed it…your videos have give me the bug again!! Love your content mate, been watching since the beginning. I was going to comment when you have a bad patch in regards loneliness a couple of weeks ago but thought it best to leave you to figure it out yourself. No amount of advice can make you want to carry on, if it’s in the blood you will, if not you would have already give it up. It really is the best., you are so lucky 🍀

I'd recommend for your tap. Either thread lock, it's like a blue coloured glue or PTFE tape. It's like white tape that plummers use to seal joints in plumbing. Used it on a few things so it might work.

Yes to the tape. I reckon the fitting is coming loose from vibration so it may absorb some of that.

I've found the round metal contacts in the key fobs will move and either lock/unlock when not needed or not at all.
Sometimes a tiny bit of glue will hold them in place.
I had that same problem with my keys, the garage connected the car to their computer and blow me down it worked a treat!
Life is for living and it doesn't cost a fortune to live a great life, well done mate, great video 👏
Add a blob of threadlock on the tap threads before you tighten it up. Also disconnecting the battery won't electrocute you. It's only 12 volts.
Just got to disconnect and reconnect in the correct order. I forget what it is but a search will reveal all.
Ahhh a Redhill chap! Same here! That car park at the start you used for the gym is a great place to crash for the night. They don't like people overnight camping top of Reigate hill much anymore

Will. Check the door lock 20amp fuse. Open up the fuse box like in your video. 3 lines of fuses. Middle set the one on the extreme right. Gary

cheap option for fixing tap if you come across a bit of old leather ie someone lobs out an old sofa/ chair .cut a leather washer and tighten the nut up to that hopefully that might stop the nut working loose with the vibration

Make a spacer washer from a piece of wood.. like a top hat washer they use on stainless sinks and baths..I would say its not biting up well enough. 👍

next time you get mic rice try this. get your pan boiling just enough to cover the mic rice ,be sure to break it up in the bag first . add it to boiling water .let it boil for minute . take a mesh colander pour rice into it leave on pan to steam for a while then decant to plate ...use as

Regarding the sink tap
Get yourself a ‘top hat’ it helps spread the weight and u can tighten it more
Don’t glue/mastic anything like that as u won’t ever get the Tap out again + kitchen taps always become lose over time

try this to get your keyfob working,
put the key in the ignition,
turn key to just before starting it,
while in that position press the lock button on the keyfob, hopefully, that should do it.
I was parked next to you between 4.30 and 8 haha. Sleeping near job before work. We also use ockham bites. The windmill pub at ascott, the hotel carpark opposite cobham rugby club. And a few others
Hi Will, just did some research on your fobb.....remove the earth lead on your battery to reboot the transponder in your van .... apparently can loose its signal...

Locking, try holding the lock button on the key fob while it in point 3 in ignition. Do this for a 10 seconds.

If you made your bed vertical, you can have a bathroom + toilet in the back area. The bed you can put it on the right side of the van facing the kitchen, and make the bed can be flip to the wall. I can't wait to have my own van right now!!!

it's doesn't matter how luxury your build is, we will always watch your content and support you.
Put a second nut onto the tap and ensure there is a compression washer between on the underside between the sink, so in order on the tap (from top to bottom), sink, washer(s), nut, second nut. The two nuts together provide friction so should keep the tap tight and in place. Bon chance !!
First time watching, great van setup you have there pal! Just bought myself a Fiat Doblo Maxi sort of wish i bought a Ducati or relay now instead!
I have a fiat ducato converted by Weinsberg and I love it! Only complaint is that the sliding door is behind the driver
In my experience its unusual to get a car park that doesn't prohibit overnight camping especially in such a lovely spot
Make sure all the door contacts are working, if one door is open the fob won't work. Try leaning on the front of the sliding door from the outside as you press the lock button

It might be worth loosely explaining (for the sake of American viewers) what "dogging" is. I'm a UK expat living here in the US. Disapointingly, we don't have dogging here.

You might need what we in the states call a basin wrench. It’s a pain to use but it can reach the underside of that faucet nut.

Hey Will I have been in marathon to watch all your videos, and suddenly I have an idea for your new project. How about you add a cooking concept into your Stealth Car Camping ?
For example:-
1. Cooking Nasi Lemak in London Stealth Car camping
2. Cook Malaysian famous rendang inside a van.
3. Cook Nasi Goreng and let uncle Rogers review it!
You can find so many famous recipes from different country and cook it in your van. Especially recipies from Asian country. Make the food in small portions so you can save your water usage. I believe it will blow your channel and you will be different from any other travel youtuber! Not only that you will have fresh video that you can make every week!
Ah, back to basics again! Now all we need is for you to fry your fajitas on the bed whilst dodging the doggers!🤣💜 All whilst gaffa taping curtains to the roof with your feet, clearly!😗
