Kurt 27 years on, my 15 year old son on going through dark times not helped by the pandemic, has been inspired by you to play my Acustic guitar and I bought him a an electric guitar. He plays Nirvana songs now every day, and he also plays white stripes, chilli peppers and Blur tracks. But it's Kurt's poster on his wall. My son was a lost soul, but now he smiling again. He plays almost every day to me, to show me his progress and ask what I think. I am so proud. Kurt I salute you where ever you are now.

30 years... my mom was still in high school and still remembers in detail waking up to open mad TV and find out of Kurt's passing. Mom always stayed grunge, raised us on his music. I am 20, style and dye my hair like Kurt since I was 16 . I always look forward to visiting home and listen to music with Mom. I wonder if he ever realized the impact he would have in our lives and relationships.

As a 90s kid this song was the definition of Nirvana.
From 1993 to 2024, I've never heard a band like them, with such impact, personality, and powerful tracks. It's when I listen to these kinds of tracks that I realize the privilege I had of being born in '82 and being a teenager in the '90s.
Kurt Cobain was everything teenagers in the '90s wanted to be: free, rebellious, handsome, and destructive all at once. I laugh when I think back to our adolescence. Even though I'm straight, deep down, young men dreamt of resembling him. Kurt was just so cool, honestly. I miss that guy, I miss his music. When you see that his music is still just as renowned, even if it's not more popular today than it was back then, it shows the strength of this band
My 12 year old daughter is learning the bass lines to this one and I'm teaching her. Daddy daughter time is special when listening to Nirvana.

Fun fact: 23 years after this video came out, Dave was asked to play "Blackbird" at the Oscars for the In Memoriam segment. Since Dave dont have an idea how to dress up for an occasion like the Oscars, they assigned him a stylist. He was introduced to the stylist named Kelsey. Young woman with blond hair and big blue eyes. First thing she told Dave was "we met before" but he cant place her in his memory. Then she said "I was the little girl in Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box video.
