BTW, for the McLaren GT4, you only need to rev the engine out to 2/3 - 3/4 of the shift indicator before shifting. That's the optimal power band for this car. Revving it out to redline is actually slower. Yes, the penalty system is a joke.

You were on old tyres plus they were cold when you slowed down so in really life if you’re racing on slicks and suddenly slow down for 30+ sec which you did, yes you will have poo tyres and no more grip therefore they aren’t warm anymore. GT7 is awesome so don’t knock it. It’s the best Sim racer out there.
that lap 6 incident is such garbage. Usually, the game ghosts their car during a spin out. I bet for some reason that it registered him still on track because he was facing straight ahead and the collision was his bumper. Awful detection.
True but however in a race you see someone losing control, you will be stupid not to lift the throttle in caution, but its a game so we ignore hazards.
Depends what you mean by SIM. Used to play project cars. And still play assetto Corsa. Will get a pc .. well a newer one and give that a go. My initial point though is how messed up this game is. Shame though. It's actually good.
