What happened to getting up at 0400, a run at 0500, bed blocks, the throwing all your kit out of the window and another inspection an hour later, getting punched in the balls, beastings at 0900, 1100, 1300, PT at 1500, assault course at 1700, another inspection followed by trashed room and a beasting at 1900, cleaning till midnight then 4 hours sleep?

Totally get you. I got done by the RSM for having my moustache encroaching on my top lip. Show parade at 2100hrs, in no 2s, with trimmed moustache pieces in the palm of my hand. Still miss those days.

That is what happens they just aren’t allowed to admit it anymore or they get in trouble. We were told to be in bed early but there is a massive list for the “night fairies” and it better be done by morning. Guidelines say we need 7hrs sleep but we got 2-3hrs a night and next to zero on field training
