You do realize the "HQ2" scheme was nothing but a taxpayer cash grab by Amazon, right? Amazon ended up creating just as many jobs in New York City, just without billions in taxpayer subsidies. I was thrilled Austin refused to play that game, and opted out of offering any incentive package featuring my hard-earned money. Like it or not, AOC was right.
It was expensive before Amazon.
As a NYer, I feel happy for the people in Virginia. AOC is an idiot for blocking it from being in NYC.
