Welcome to Tartu! Tartu is the second largest city of Estonia and it's well known also as a university city.
This video was filmed in November, it's the beginning of winter in Estonia.

I spend one semester abroad in Tartu and I miss Tartu every day! :-) Thank you for this video.
Nice and beautiful city dear 👍❤🌷
Great Video. I will never forget my summer in Estonia, most of it in Tartu and in Viljandi. It would be awesome to reconnect with some of the people we met when there. Estonia is a beautiful, wonderful country full of beautiful, wonderful people!
I am happy that you enjoyed your time here.
Nice video. It would be lovely to make a video about Tartu during the warm summer time as well. : )
Awesome video!!! Made me want to visit Tartu soon. I'm living in Tallinn. Keep up the great work! 😊
Nice, video, i be here for 1 month, good place good people :)
Absolutely lovely, I am almost certainly going to go there for a semester next year, but I am wondering: what language do people speak? The whole estonian/south estonian thing is a bit confusing to me, so, because it is your hometown, I would love if you could shed some light on it. Thanks, and great video ~
Hi, that's wonderful to hear that you're going to Estonia! In Estonia people speak Estonian, it's an Ugro-Finnic language, very similar to Finnish. It doesn't matter if you're in the south or in the north, the whole country is quite tiny, so the language remains the same everywhere. It's true that there are some old dialects, but even people who can speak a dialect, their first language is still Estonian.
By the way, I have a CZcams channel for learning Estonian! Probably you won't need it too much as you can do everything in English as well, but all the Estonians will be very excited to see/hear foreign people who can say something in Estonian. Here's the channel: czcams.com/users/thesoundofestonian

parim linn - Tartu
i lived there for 10 months.i love it.wish to go back
Lovely place! Thanks for sharing. What would you suggest we do in a day at tartu is it possible to go by foot? I'll be there last week of May. Is it still gonna be cold
cheryl chow I definitely suggest you to visit the places I’m showing in the video. And then have a walk along the Emajõgi river. In the end of May they will have all the river bars opened as well, which are very cozy places where to hang out. You can do everything on foot,. If you decide to take a car, go to visit all the nature out of the city!
cheryl chow And the temperature will be around 20 degrees Celsius and usually it’s sunny.
Hi! I really liked the video. I am thinking about doing my semester with erasmus at the university of tartu. Do you study there and/or would u recommend that? Lastly, i am kind of uncertain about the temperatures, because im not that big of a fan of the cold.
Greetings from Berlin
Hi, the university of Tartu is a great university where to study, I didn't study over there but loads of my friends did! Also I know many foreign people who have also done their Erasmus in Tartu and all the feedback has alwasy been very positive! Estonian education system is mostly built up on IT and technology, which makes a big difference compared to many other universities in the world. Tartu is a young city, the university city, so you will find many activities and fun things to do around. It does get cold in the winter, which makes it kind of magical for many people, even though I believe the weather is not much different from Berlin. The spring, summer and autumn are just wonderful, so if I believe it will be definitely worth it for a semester!
I was thinking of going there... nice video.. thanks for the video, well done.. Do the Estonians know English very well or just you? : )
Thank you, definitely you must go to Estonia! Personally I'ld recommend you to go there in the summer, like this you will be able to enjoy also all the outdoor activities. And most of the Estonians do speak good English 😊
@@ChiaraMagix and you will give me a private tour? : )
