    Very nice, the shape also remids me of corals

      Yeah a Cheetos shape without the texture is weirdly generic

    Good job on flexing with Redshift now, you got this! I would love to see that procedural Terrazzo in Redshift!!

    This is great) Actually i'd like to give a suggestion that i know many people need food textures. For example, fried chicken (as in McDonalds), Fried potatoes, hamburger meat etc. Such fast food texture set for Octane would be great)

    • @NewPlastic
      @NewPlastic  Před rokem +2

      Man that's a great idea and I've had the idea of food textures like raw meat/burger meat for probably 2 years. But honestly I do need a break from food materials. Just a quick break. They break my head. haha

      I'd pay a good amount for a realistic procedural food pack

    Friend, you won't believe it! I am currently making a model of corn chips and making good stuff for them has become a huge problem. Thank you very much for this lesson. It was very in time.

      Haha I knew it dude. Yes I honestly didn't even expect how ridiculously frustrating it would be to create delicious and believable snacks procedurally. Truly a challenge

    Are you planning on recreating your gumroad material packs in Redshift at some point in the future? Love your Octane stuff but I personally won't even come close when trying to replicate them in Redshift, so for the little price I'd love to buy them for Redshift.

    • @NewPlastic
      @NewPlastic  Před rokem +1

      Yezzir ! This pack is available for Redshift, as well as my Metal pack. And I'll slowly start converting older packs to Redshift. And next week I'll release a Redshift Cheetos tutorial.
      But I have to say, I can't replicate the exact looks as well, especially the complex ones. When I try to follow the exact method I get different results so I have to improvise new ways, so they look slightly different and are built different.

    Is there a reason to use vertex displacement over texture displacement?

    • @NewPlastic
      @NewPlastic  Před rokem +1

      Yeah cuz procedural nodes won't work with texture displacement, only image textures work with texture displacement. You can use a Bake Texture node on the procedural ones if you want to use Texture displacement but that invites all sorts of issues so I prefer sticking to Vertex

    What level of membership can I join to watch normal speed videos

    • @NewPlastic
      @NewPlastic  Před rokem

      Hmm I don't really provide "normal" speed videos, one reason is because if I do two versions it'll take me a whole week to complete just one video which doesn't make sense. But mainly it's because my approach to these videos isn't so you can follow me step by step and copy what I do, but that you see my workflow and approach and apply it your own way. So it's less about the micro-details and more about the macro workflow and problem solving.
      It kinda relies on you having some prior knowledge in these programs. So I know it sucks as a beginner. But most of these tutorials offer pretty complex solutions that I wouldn't expect a beginner to even tackle. But hey, it's possible!

    Bro can you sell me models for Cheetos Crunch Flamin Hot and Cheetos Crunch Cheese. I use blender so I can't buy your project files.

    • @NewPlastic
      @NewPlastic  Před rokem

      Hmm sure, I can upload a pack of just the models only.

      Is it possible to migrate from Octane to Cycles? Because the nodes are different. I would also like to use it for Blender.

    • @deathgod
      @deathgod Před rokem +1

      @@ceramicastefanisa I think as long it's fbx, obj, gltf, etc format then we can use it anywhere

      @@deathgod My question is if the nodes are correct for Cycles because you use Octane. Thanks!
