    Learn how to make a realistic procedural glass shatter effect in Cinema 4D, using your own custom shatter pattern.
    We create the basic set up, simulate the glass in slow motion, sculpt the explosion, add roughness to the edges, and finally add some fine particles.
    Making more realistic and custom glass cracks/fractures/shatter patterns in Cinema 4D is something I would've loved to know how to do when I first got started. Now I do, and now so will you.

    Very impressive tutorial! I like the way you came up with all these creative but at the same time simple ways to visualize the scene without using any plugins. The finished renders look amazing and they are inspiring

      Hi Daniel, can you tell me how can I take out my dynamic cache, because I want to send my file to another comp for rendering?With cloth simulation I can save my cache, no problem, but with this....., I couldn't find this file neither in preference folder or elsewhere. Thanks!!

    • @DanielDanielsson
      @DanielDanielsson  Před 8 lety

      To cache the dynamics you want to go into Project settings (cmd+D /
      ctrl+D), then the 'Dynamics' tab, followed by the 'Cache' sub-tab where you hit 'Bake' to cache the dynamics for the entire scene.
      Unfortunately if you then copy a dynamic object to another scene you'll need to
      re-cache it because the cache is part of the scene file, and not the
      objects... Sorry. :(

    Love the tutorial, however in C4D R20 I can't get the attractor to work as it does for you. In fact, nothing happens when I put it in the scene. When for you it created that beautiful cone-like shape that the glass explodes in but my animation stays the same. Do you have any tips on what I can do to overcome that issue, or maybe the way to get the effect changed by now and if so do you know what replaced that effector?

    • @Fabianofr
      @Fabianofr Před 4 lety

      almost the same for me, the attractor works in a different way, the drag goes both ways, I tried to control that, but I was unsuccessful

    • @Fabianofr
      @Fabianofr Před 4 lety

      I found it by tweaking it ! Go to the Dynamic tag of the Dynamic Fracture object, go to forces and include the Attractor... since you won't be able to exclude the gravity he added after, make sure you put the emitter and the gravity field in a null .
