Good review. SHTF box has never left me feeling completely disappointed like many others tend to do. I have always felt I have got at least what I paid for it. Mad props to your sidekick, won’t be long and he’s gonna steal the show!

I have that saw in my hunting bag. It's pretty good for cutting small sticks that get in your way, but be aware of the rusting factor. I left it alone for 2 months without any maintenance and it developed some pretty large rust spots.
Take better care of it than me and it'll serve you well.

You can buy that skull-shaped "ring" thing from Karate mart for 10 bucks, where it's located right next to the polyester "ninja suits", glow-in-the-dark nunchaku and other dubious items of Oriental Trading Company quality meets Oriental arts. I think that says all you need to know.
The goggles will withstand a BB up to 500fps. they're the cheapest you can get for airsoft goggles. And the thunder V's are used big in airsoft as well

One good point to those goggles/safety glasses with no ventilation is that they will keep pepper spray out of your eyes.
Shtf has some cool and useful stuff but they needs better quality knifes in the box. Great video doc, keep it up

Should do a best of shtf boxes. Usually like one item I really like out of each one,some are actually pretty good once in a while.
When I did airsoft we used those grenades as well, grenades. They work well but the shells are one time use. As someone who was unfortunate enough to have one is my hand when it went off I can tell you that it will hurt and might give a minor cut but won’t do serious damage.

The knuckle duster at 18:29 there is a better way to use it. Put your pinkie through the hole make it face downwards and hammer fist. Would be more comfortable and effective I believe.
Not cutting towards yourself is something you teach kids, once you're a capable adult human you know that's more of a suggestion than a rule.

The p51 can go on the pile of can openers. Trash the clips. Saw’s okay. The knives are good for whittling, the cord is about the best feature on it; good knife if you’re not worried about loosing it. The fixed blade can be used for staking to a tree or to the ground for tents, tie it to the top of a branch and make it a Tommy. The knuckle would work better as a fishing sinker. Give the gogs to the the kid, they’re great for him. Dump the coozie. I’ve never hated a hatchet. I don’t have need of the grenades.

I had to laugh at myself. I've had the same p38 on my keyring since Okinawa in 1999. I used to use it on canned fruit but they all come with pop tops now. However- through all those flights, fights, hikes, etc... It's always worked:never broken or rattled loose...gotta find the manufacturer and get him to make cars!!

The thunder v s are disposable the outer plastic shell tears open when it’s filled with the co2 gas hence the noise it makes kinda a rip off of a nine banger or flash bang

Also, in regards to the training grenades, in the army, we would take the fuses and stick them in apples and oranges to watch em explode.
P-51's will be a valuable resource depending on what causes the SHTF in the first place. I see bartering or selling those things for as much as $10.00-15.00 each so hold onto the 30 units. The meh Aqua Tabs would be invaluable, maybe priceless.

Knives from China are sharp... but they have huge bur, first few cuts works, then bur bends and blocks edge. Strop them and try it then. :))
How do you get the giveaway chances
With those to knives I would use them as prop knives for your machine shop and your customisation they're not worth using and they're really not worth owning in a survival situation but as far as a prop knife to sit in a case to show off your work they would be good

Goggles and grenades can be used at local airsoft field. The goggles rating is approved at airsoft fields get your son out and try it.

It depends on what formulation of 440 you are talking about, and how it is heat treated. Basic 440 isn't great. A well heat treated 440C can be really good though.
Is a karambit good for self defence?

A Karambit is very good for self defense IF you know the right techniques and have some practice with it. Otherwise you might as well be swinging any blade around. Powder coating is when we spray an electrostaticly powder onto a grounded metal part so the power sticks, then heat it so the powder substance "melts" into a solid surface around the part.

Seems to me that knives never want to cut paper vertically though.
The ones that are really well finished do. You just let them drop and they cut their way through. You'll see a great example of that in an upcoming Higo No Kami video.

This is kind of weird but the 3 or 4 times I cut my thumb or index finger I got blood all over my hands but what’s weird is it barely hurt but it just made me jump but then I started laughing I think I have problems

I've got a 2 part sharpening video and a video showing some quick ways to keep your edge sharp in the field. You can look them up on my channel. Just search for sharpening.
One thing i use when i have to put an edge on something is a bench grinder then i take a file to it like 3 times then a wet stone i get a good edge every time

Cool videos, I just started watching, so this comment might be kind of out of date. I noticed in several of your videos you'll take folding pocket knives especially cheap folding pocket knives, and test the lock strength by spine whacking it with no PPE on. Every time you do this makes me kind of nervous. Not trying to be a dick or anything, but you should probably wear some PPE when testing lock strength. Thanks for the vids keep it up really enjoy watching them.
I should, and you're right. But I probably won't. Until I cut myself. And even then I won't. Because I'm just stubborn like that. And you'll still be right. And I'll be cut. And I'll probably say in a video "Hey that one guy was right." As I'm cutting myself on the next one.
