    About Stuffed Peppers
    Stuffed Peppers are a dish common in many cuisines. It consists of hollowed or halved peppers filled with any of a variety of fillings, often including vegetables, cheese, rice, or sauce. The dish is usually assembled by filling the cavities of the peppers and then cooking.
    Stuffed peppers (Bharvan Mirch or Bharva Hari Mirch) is one of several stuffed vegetable (Bharvan subji) dishes. It consists of bell peppers stuffed with cooked potatoes, and onions and seasoned with chili, turmeric, coriander, cilantro, salt, and lemon juice. The peppers are then either browned in a tava (frying pan) or baked in an oven until the peppers are scorched.
    Mirchi bajji or pakora is a chaat (street food) item and is a hot favorite during the monsoon and cooler months. In Mumbai and western areas, the big green chilli pepper is stuffed with a roasted, spiced flour mix and fried. In the South, the big green chillies, similar to hatch, is dipped in a flour batter and fried. It may be accompanied by chutneys and sauces. In Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, some of the smaller but more potent chillies are also stuffed and fried, especially as a side to rice. |

    Must be roasted gram flour if i am not mistaken. We make this by roasting gram flour and all masalas in kadhai then adding chopped chillies, called mirchi ke tapore in Rajasthan 😁

    I tried mixing the masalas with cooking oil and ghee.. it tasted yumm..also added few ajwain .. very little.. as v r using besan.. fr the colour to look more tempting i mixed kashmiri red chilly pwdr..

    Stuffed chillies had been on my cooking wishlist for a very very very long time. I had these chillies at home and I found your recipe, so I said, today is the day ☺️ until I realized I had run out of besan. But, where there is a will there is a way. So I made a fine powder of some roasted chana dal, added just a few roasted peanuts while grinding it and that is what I used instead of besan. I followed the rest of the recipe as is. These stuffed chillies were so, so tasty. They made a perfect accompaniment for my steamed rice and Palak Dal 😋 I have some leftover stuffing that I have refrigerated for now. I may make a dry sabji with it another day - add it as a delicious spice mix to some roasted diced capsicum, or stir fried scallions or I could use it as a stuffing for another vegetable, that is, if I don't end up making another batch of these stuffed chillies! Thank you for sharing this wonderful and easy recipe. Cheers!
