You guys story brought back memories. My husband and I experienced some of the same things. I delivered at 32 weeks via C-section due to preeclampsia. Our baby girl is 3 now and will start Pre-K this year 🙌🏾
C-sections are a longer recovery and very hard on the body I had two believe me as time go on you will see why no one wants a C-section I had preeclampsia with both of my boys. Blood pressure was very high so I had emergency C-section. They also are cutting into 8layers of your stomach so it takes like 5 yrs for that scare tissue to fully heal. Thank God you had a good delivery and a healthy baby girl 🥰. Praying for you and you beautiful family God bless you all and make sure you get your rest lon your body went through a major surgery.
My due date is February 1 can’t wait to meet my first baby 👶 🥰

There is SO MUCH POWER IN THE TONGUE!!!! Henry spoke life over baby girl in the previous video that she would be home before the 3rd and look at GOD....she is so precious!! Congrats again on the new chapter of parenthood....there is so much to enjoy!!!! Many blessings and thank you for sharing!!!

"Start praising now" is a mood!! I will say--as a nurse this video was such a wonderful reminder to meet patients where they are. Everything y'all explained sounds so routine to me. But for folks never having had dealt with anything like L&D/emergency C-sections it's all a whirlwind. I thank God for Lon's health and that baby girl is perfectly fine as well. Congratulations mom and dad. You've done amazing!!!
All I can say is God is good and so worthy of praise!!! My son was born at 26 1/2 weeks 1lb 8 oz. He's 24 now! Healthy!!!

I had both my boys via c-section a year and 8 days apart. The first one I was nervous because I didn't know what to expect, but the second one was easier. Congratulations on your Beautiful baby girl.. It was all in God's plan..

Just saw this video, and as an Obstetrician I feel for you but ur doctor made the right decision to monitor you in the hospital. Like u experienced you can never know how the body will react to the changes due to the gestational HT - progression to worst case scenario of fully fledged severe pre-eclampsia or Eclampsia is so fast, and effects to both baby and mother are so severe - life threatening that you don't want to take chances. No doctor likes to go thru that emergency situation ever. But that's what it is. Am glad it went well after. Blessings as u enjoy parenthood.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤❤❤
First time viewer 🙋🏽♀️ I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia at 29 weeks and had to be on magnesium for 3 days straight 🤮 my babygirl is still in the NICU and is currently 5 weeks old but praying that she will be home soon ❤️

How old is your blessing now?
The magnesium prevents you from having seizures, which is what happens when the preeclampsia worsens to eclampsia. It literally saves your life.
It can also be used to stop contractions
My son was born six weeks early, so I can relate but Thank god your princess is going to be fine and amazing! Just continue pouring all of your love and strength into her. God bless your beautiful family.

🤗 Congrats again you two! I had 2 Vaginal deliveries and 1 c-section. The C-section was definitely worse than the vaginals. I could feel yhe tugging of my tummy as they worked. Ijs.❤

Lord Jesus, I'm glad it's over for Hen and you. I have had 2 C - Section the only thing I regret was the pain afterward, now today. Praise be to God I'm glad that's over and done the things we have to go through to get those precious God sent children here but it's the word. Think about those women way back then who suffered severely having babies with no technology as we have today. Listening to you guys bought back so many memories.
Like I told you guys on you the last vlog my baby girl was 1 pound 1 ounce born at 9:42 am She was supposed to come in January but she came 24 weeks early in October. My daughter is 18 years old today and she's doing wonderful

I’m labor and delivery nurse and a mom. I haven’t experienced a c-section personally I’ve just seen countless. Vaginal healing is definitely easier. Moms walk after I mean before transfer to mother baby in most cases. But the safety of mom and baby are the upmost importance. Glad everything went smooth. Lol I like watching birth experiences for the patients view no disrespect. Many patients are upset when they are sent in and their doctor isn’t on. They aren’t always on call. I wish doctors would explain that they rotate with other doctors for in hospital obligations. Congrats!! Your baby girl is beautiful glad everything went smoothly.

I'm a first time mom. Baby's due the end of February- I had to do a double take when i saw the post about you giving birth. Ive been experiencing preeclampsia signs too and I started getting nervous after I saw you had your baby. But ive got faith everything will work out. Im really glad that your birth went well. 12/22 is AMAZING My nephew was born 12/22! I WAS BORN 1/2 my sister 12/2 my dad 06/22. This was an amazing story!!!!! You guys are AWSOME! Lon you are a SUPER WOMAN! Henry you are SUPERMAN! Congratulations!!!!!! Welcome princess!!!! I’m excited for your journey!!!

Congratulations on ur beautiful baby girl.... I had to comment because our stories are very similar. I was also pregnant with the due date of feb 3, 2020. At 32 weeks I was admitted to the hospital for gestational hypertension and I spent 5 days in the hospital being monitored for preeclampsia. I was put out of work n had to see the doctor 3 times a week for additional monitoring and bp checks. At 36 weeks my water broke spontaneously and I was induced on dec 22nd. I gave birth on Christmas Eve to my baby girl and she also was in the NICU ... she was able to come home after 10 days of being there on Jan 3rd .... I was watching this video and was just in awe of how similar our stories are...

You brought so many memories back with your description of the c section!! You both described this to the T! The only difference with me is I had to have a epidural and not spinal tap because I was told there was a shortage of the spinal tap medicine because of the hurricane that happened in Puerto Rico! That’s where the medicine comes from apparently. So I felt the first cut and they had to give me so much more epi! Talk about not fun! My recovery was awful since I only had the epi. Recovery was not the same as having a spinal tap. And I had twins pulled out! Glad everything ended well for you all and baby girl though!!

My son was born at 35 weeks due to preeclampsia. My doctors did everything they could to make sure we both came out healthy because it got really bad that my son was starting to suffer so they took him out. He was 3lbs and was so small but he was healthy as he could have been. he stayed 2 weeks in the nicu went home eating and breathing on his own. He now she’s a few specialist for his breathing and allergies but he is a cool little dude.

Lon I’m so glad you got medical attention immediately due to pressure my best friend had the same problem and went to E.R and was discharged home she didn’t feel better came back the next day and went lose consciousness and they had to dye emergency c-section and her child was in NICU she never regained consciousness and died a week later she never met her beautiful daughter Laila😥. I miss her dearly May god continue to bless you and your family “😊

Your daughter was born on my son’s due date but I ended up having him on December 16th. I’m so glad we can we first time parents together ! Congrats guys !
Congratulations! I think it is because some people feel like csections are more likely to happen because of the medical intervention during birth. It's also a major surgery with a greater risk of infection so people try to avoid it. Vaginal births also have a faster less painful recovery time. I feel like you have to do what ever is necessary to make sure that mommy and baby are alright.
First time parents are so cute. Everything is so new and unique to them.

I agree with how you felt going into the OR. I was being prepped and almost had the spinal put in my back for the nurse to run in and tell the anesthesiologist to stop. A woman had come in and was literally about to deliver her baby. I had to go out and wait. Just imagine how nervous I was. It was so cold in there. All the lights and sounds of the machines and instruments. It definitely freaked me out....

I'm so happy for you guys! What a blessing its so funny as I was listening to your story the wheels in my head were turning because I am a nurse. The small pill was cervadil to dilate your cervix and the magnesium was to prevent seizures in the case of preeclampsia and your blood pressure being high. Since it does lower the blood pressure the reason you have to stay in bed for 24 hours is because it can make you weak and if you were to get up you may pass out with a sudden drop of blood pressure. The side effects do suck and I am sorry you had to experience that but you have a beautiful baby girl and God is so good that you were able to get that care! I aspire to work in labor and delivery one day.

Love this video!!! However, having a c section is far worse than vaginal. I am a mom of 4 and my vaginal labor had me up and moving without worrying about any healing. Felt like I didn’t even have a baby. Now the best part about a c section is the amount of pain meds you get so you don’t feel a thing.

Lon your delivery was similar to my first and third deliveries. I'm with you I don't know why c-sections get such a bad rap. I did not want to have a vaginal delivery after my first c-section.
