I think the reason why most of the comments say that the first two cakes look so much better than the last, is because you'd expect those kinds of cake - simple and yummy - for a birthday celebration , family dinner table , anniversary etc They remind them of those things and so does the cake, so it feels closer to home, family ,friends you name it. On the other hand , we don't really expect cakes like the last one on a birthday party or a anniversary - Of course no one would say no to a cake like the last one, but its the kind of cake you see at a restaurant opening or a celebrities party I'd say? So we don't really connect it with anything rather than just a cake. Don't get me wrong it is a phenomenal cake, I wish I could eat it right now!
My husband ordered me a huge box of the macarons from Bottega Louie before I had our first child. It was so amazing, every flavor was delicious, but the earl grey is perfection!
The first one looked amazing in my opinion. A milky and creamy cake with berries is definitely a win in my book.

Porto’s is literally one of the best places for any party treat in LA. Every gathering me and my family attend there’s a Porto’s box filled with glazed tarts and flaky rolls. I love it.

That coffee cake though...oh my goodness. I didn't think that love at first sight existed but here we are. Even though the last cake is not my favorite, it was so damn creative. the first two cakes seemed amazing, while the last one just seemed like your standard sugar overload cake when it came down to how it actually seemed to taste with all that fondant, just mega sized. pretty obvious win for the first two.
It’s cake…of course it has sugar, no matter if it’s frosting or fondant- also if you don’t like fondant then ask for frosting or icing instead. So many people hating fondant like they cannot make the decision to ask for another thing.

That Espresso Chocolate cake is just something else. I had the privilege of enjoying that cake almost 5 years ago (a few months after this video was posted) for my birthday and I'm seriously tempted to fly down to LA just to pick one up again.
