Revan and Malak always look so badass in their duo pose
Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to be a Jedi. When I read this comic I wasn't a kid, but I still had sympathy for Zayne Carrack, because if I was a Jedi, I'd be just like him. Great video. Thanks.
As I recall, after the dust settled, the Jedi did welcome Zayne back and knighted him. But he chose to leave. He saw the flaws of the Order, and realized that they were so focused on gaining control of all the disparate factions, trying to bring them together, that a few were slipping through their fingers. Krynda Draay, Haazen, and the Jedi Covenant were among them. He also left because he learned something about himself. One of the most important jobs for the Jedi was to be a guardian for all the citizens of the galaxy. I think his words were something along the lines of, "even if I got everything else right, I knew I couldn't handle this responsibility." Helping an individual or a small group - he could handle. He learned to do that while trying to clear his name. But helping the entire galaxy - no. So he chose to leave the Jedi and focus on helping those who slipped through the Jedi protection - the ones the Jedi were supposed to protect, but because of their attention towards Repulic-spanning or galaxy-spanning matters, they're neglected, forgotten, or otherwise slip through the cracks. They're left in a position with no one to help them. Zayne chose to do what he could to pick up the slack.
The principle behind the formation of the Jedi Covenant had its merits. It wasn't a bad idea, and considering how Sith artifacts had a role in the fall of Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma, the idea of seeking them out and destroying them to prevent a future Exar Kun from appearing seemed like a good plan. Unfortunately, thanks to Sith artifacts and a jealous retainer, everything got all twisted.
The thing I remembered the most at the end was Krynda pleading with her son, asking if what she saw wasn't true. He said he didn't kill his Padawan, but he did order the killing. She was struck with horror and asked why he did that. He said that was the whole point of the Covenant - to prevent the return of the Sith, and to do whatever was necessary. I think she realized then that in her grief over past events and in being fixated on the past, she didn't realize how fanatical she and the Jedi Covenant had become. And how many of them had unknowingly fallen to the dark side in their obsessive loyalty to their vision and their goals. As she said, "no vision or mission was worth the lives of children."
This is certainly one of the darkest points in the ancient Jedi order; this was all kinds of messed up with what Hazen did.
Hezzan's transformation reminds me of your explanation of a sith stalker
Eeyup.
The great undercurrent message of this story was that Haazen is exactly who Zayne could have become if he wasn’t such a good natured person. Both were not naturally strong in the force, both were clumsy misfits, and both technically failed their trials. But Zayne accepted his unique connection to the force and didn’t allow his weaknesses to change who he was, unlike Haazen.
Side note: You should also make a video about Celeste Morne, if you haven’t already. I love how her story was a thread in many generations of the Star Wars Universe, including this one!
Kryndra was the one trained by Vodo-Siosk Baas. Haazen and Barrison were trained by Arca Jeth.
Kryndra’s prophecy of the five could actually refer to Luke (light), Darth Vader (dark), Leia (light in the dark), Han Solo (dark in the light), and the Emperor (standing apart and between).
Actually all three were trained to knighthood by Arca Jeth, after knighting Krynda would be trained in divination by Vodo
@@generalhorse493
No, no. Krynda WAS knighted by Arca Jeth. But BEFORE THAT she was trained by Master Baas.
I also remember that Darth Haze saw in Lucien Dray the perfect new Dark Lord to rule his Sith, even suggesting several names, among them... Scion. When I first read this, I thought this was the origin of the lord if pain, but apparently it wasn't. A shame, since it would have been ironic. A Jedi that despised the Sith becoming the one lord that was almost unkillable.
He didn’t see the perfect sigh in Lucien, he simply wanted to control Lucien solely out of jealousy over Lucien’s father Barriston, who had everything haazen wanted for himself.
Your talking about darth sion 😂😂 the Sith Lord who kept his body from decaying by using his anger, ironically he had an extreme hatred for people who relied to much on the force…. This was what finally defeated him when a young Jedi showed him he had become COMPLETELY reliant on the force to keep his body from falling apart, he momentarily let go of his anger and IMMEDIATELY died
This is really disturbing. Really tough stories. I'm glad Lucian found peace. This is very nice video. I can't read those comics but thanks. Really nice😊Pleasure is ours.May the Force be with you too
Great one
Loved this one! No doubt. Awesome story & new for me to know of as'well. Cheers
Mtfbwy ..
I would like to give a suggestion.
When you are talking about these events and mentioning timelines, could you present a timeline graph?
Like science uses for the jurassic, and triassic eras?
Thank you.
Love the channel man thanks for the awesome Star Wars content! This is my favorite SW channel for extended lore I always learn something new here! 🤙🏼💖
Awesome!
Nice i like these stories that I never heard of. Lets me learn new lore
Well technically Reven was Jedi and Sith
Not at the same time however
Jedi could only be able to achieve this balance if they become #TDBank💳 card holder... 🌎💘💰
@@ryanranga8484Jedi could only be able to achieve this balance if they become #TDBank💳 card holder... 🌎💘💰
As was Vader
No, Reven was a Jedi then a Sith and then a Jedi again.
And similarly with Vader.
you can fuse some ideals.
Think Revan is the only Force User from either the Jedi or Sith that HONESTLY TRIED to be BOTH a Jedi AND Sith either simultaneously or at basically the same time and ACTUALLY get away with it.. everyone else apparently all failed spectacularly one way or another or was finally forced to pick an end of the spectrum once an for all an stick with it from said point on.
The Old Republic era is amazing in every way!
15:00 is it me or does Zane look like Anakin to anyone else?
If I remember correctly, there's a SWTOR mission where you have the choice to either destroy Haazen's holocrin or bring it back to Sith.
The KOTOR comics are something truly special and very good Star Wars
Never heard of Hazen until today. Interesting story, though. The thing about the artifacts reminds me of Jurgen Wulf in the first Bloodrayne game where he was trying to acquire all of the body parts of Beliar so he could put them in his own body.
Wow amazingggg
Killing younglings is a common theme in Star Wars
Chills
Jedi Council: “Do you know how expensive this lightsaber was, son?”
Master Jedi: “Tell that to the covenant.”
7:25 - 7:40 I wonder if Sidious would be impressed by that?
Kressh Gauntlet!?!?! As in Ludo Kressh?
Nice.
Jedis by Dre; gangsta certified 😂
Darth Raven: "Am I a joke to you?"
Mace windu, revan, analin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker are some others who embraced the unifying force
Certainly not at the same time. The tenets of the Sith Code rejects the founding principles of the Jedi Code, so one cannot hold true to both.
The KOTOR Comics are one of my favorite Star Wars Series.
This needs to be brought into Canon!
I love kotor comics. I love kotor Era.
also people who are fans subscribers of this Channel and Star Wars fans hear me out Anakin Skywalker in his prime before turn to the dark side and becoming Darth Vader surpassed and was above every Jedi including Kenobi but was below and equal to Yoda and Mace Windu fact and true confirm and stated by Star Wars and George Lucas themselves okay guys
Well technically Anakin was Jedi and sith
Not at the same time though
Haazen wasn’t a Jedi sigh hybrid, he was a revolting narcissist who proclaimed himself above everyone because he refused to accept he sucked too hard to ever become a Jedi, unlike barrister draay
I think is impossible to be a truly be a Jedi and Sith hybrid. It is not impossible Jedi to return to an order of balance for their teaching fallow the idea when the Sith are about toppling the Force. One cannot topple the Force and bring it to balance at the same time
It’s their two different ideals of the Force was is really at war not necessarily Jedi and Sith. If they both fallowed one but with reasonable different ways they would just leave each other alone
This lore goes crazy
I wish SW Canon would tap into some of it
yes yoda was Jedi AND Sith,
Yoda Knew Sidious Would Try to Turn Anakin to the Dark Side yes
yoda was scared that anakin would lead him back into the temptation of the dark side again. and he wanted to draw out darth jar jar the true dark lord
I am 1000th like. Turned 999 to 1k
A
👍👍
NNNNNNOOOOOOO
The Jedith Order is lonely.
Day 427 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
HA SAME NAME
the stupendous wave we all know in Star Wars cannon who was Jedi and sith died and redeem himself becoming one with the force that's right Anakin Skywalker The prophesized Chosen One destined to bring balance to the force has now reached his true full potential combining fusing and merging both lives of Anakin and vader achieving true perfect balance in the force as we saw in Ahsoka season 1 and what we will see in season 2 that's right we're going to see Full Potential Anakin Skywalker very soon and Canon Ahsoka season 2 just wait guys
Disney star wars isn't true star wars
@@alsimmonshellspawn6021 you dont know that
It's impossible in my opinion. Both of their beliefs contradict each other.
that is true, Haazen favor the Sith Teaching and being a Sith. Like Palpatine, he hid his true nature thru the force and knowledge of Jedi to pull the Long con.
Then Bendu
Jedi could only be able to achieve this balance if they become #TDBank💳 card holder... 🌎💘💰
Well duh....Vader
Disney star wars isn't true star wars it's poorly written
If your here early👇👇
Revan.
there, no need to watch the video.
There is no darkside, nor light. There is only individuals and the forces at their command. Everything else is just an excuse.
This is a fictional universe in which the force and the two sides to it are legitimate things. I feel like you were trying to be profound, but your philosophy doesn’t apply here. Star Wars isn’t reality.
@@nocturne311 "Many of the truths we cling to are based on a certain point of view." You'll decide for yourself wether I'm being literal or not regardless of what I say. But it doesn't matter which I meant if it holds true for both.
This guy is what all Grey Jedi fans will become if they try to live by their made up idea in Star Wars 😂
