I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (February 8, Epiphany 5), we sang this as our Opening Hymn.
It's me, again. And this time, it is with a heavy heart that I post this. Today, November 3, I said good-bye to a former church member and childhood/teen friend. We sang this as the Recessional Hymn before processing out of the church to the gravesite. She left this world on October 30, a victim of Wegener's Disease. I saw her twice in September and she was her cheerful and upbeat self, as she always was. She said that she was going to beat this and there was no doubt in my mind that she would. Sadly, it wasn't to be as she left us. We will all miss you, Margaret. You were a special person. You will NEVER be forgotten.

Michael Burmeister the song is about God's revolution in all things. Loud boiling tests tubes = God revealing himself through natural science.
That is kind of silly, but it's still a nice hymn.
@@RevDanNC as a Lutheran who will be teaching in a Catholic school this year, and new to science teaching (formerly special education), I will DEFINITELY use this with my students!
Ironic isn't it? I maintain my faith while still believing science is accurate, unlike most of the religious people I have come across.
@@RevDanNC Amen...all I'm saying is that using it as a hymn lyric is cheesy songwriting.
