I sang in choirs and chorales under the direction of Bud Bisbee. He is one of the most musically talented men I have ever met. He is also a wonderful teacher and very encouraging to his students. Yes, he was strict, but it just made us better than other choirs. I've never had another teacher who was so loved by all. When we won the first High School choir contest we were ever in, the guys, some of whom were on the football team, carried Bud out on their shoulders. It was a great moment. The judges gave us all A's for our performance, except one, who gave us an A- because we sounded too much like a College Choir! We got marked down because we were too good.
another hymn ruined by a Manz dog and pony show does not belong in church!
This is by far the most moving rendition of this hymn I have every heard - can't get enough! Thank you.

The composer played it louder, sorry but you aren't the deciding factor on how people play music. Paul Manz' music sounds great played super fast tbh

I remember when Paul Manz played this at the 125th Anniversary of Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois (where my grandfather, Rev. Dr. Martin L Koehneke, was president from 1954-1972) - I was in awe of his organ playing then and still am!
