The play as Zelda I was shocked by however you can clearly tell it's Link's Awakening remake engine and I was not surprised that a new Legend of Zelda game was made with that engine. There was no way Nintendo was not going to re-use that engine. I was actually expecting remakes of other 2D's Zelda games.
Yeah, makes sense to reuse the engine, especially since Link's Awakening was pretty well received. I too thought we would get another remake, but I'm happy to see it's a new game!
