Minca was the first ramen place that I fell in love with in NYC. My friend Mindy lived in the neighborhood and took me there. Really awesome to hear that it was instrumental in helping establish Sun Noodle in the city.
Those noodles could wrap me up in my sleep and I wouldn't complain about it. So satisfying to see this whole process unfold. Mesmerizing and just tingly to the touch.
Kenshiro and the Sun Noodle team is so committed to quality and integrity! We are so lucky to have them creating the best ramen out there!
Sun Noodles is a 20 minute drive from my home. It is my favorite brand of noodles. I just learned that the owner of the Company is originally from Tochigi Prefecture where my mother was from, and my family ancestry goes back over 800 years. I was just there in late October in Nikko, and Ashio. I have family in Utsunomiya too. Nice to find a connection with my favorite noodles. 😁👍
Whether it's in a food factory or the kitchen of a restaurant. It's great to see how things are made each day. And the history behind it.
I love ramen!
I really wish they would sell just the noodles commercial instead of wholesale
A Hawaiian company selling flour to Japan.
Now I want a bowl of ramen after watching this.
I grew up in Hawaii, and I think it was the original location of the OG factory that my mom went to and would buy a bag of their ramen noodles. It was cheap since it was just a paper bag back then if you go to the factory directly. They've since moved from the neighborhood but I get to buy it at the stores, sadly the stores only have a limited number of type of noodles they sell. It's mostly prepacked noodles with soup base.
When I see videos like this that show the factories, I'm in awe. As amazing as the food products are, It's really cool to see how people created these machines and components to automate and make the food processing easier.
Nice to see the family continuing the tradition of making quality noodles.
You can really tell that the man knows and loves his craft
Wonderful segment. I’ve always admired the Japanese way of life. The artisans take an immense pride in their craft. Happy Holidays from Brooklyn, NY.
A well made video showing the whole process, kudos to everyone involved in the making.
Amazing, what a great process and the fact they make it to taste of their costumer is stunning. Also the older chap at Minca - damn i want his ramen so bad.
This man understands his craft well and is passionate about it! No wonder he is successful!
This is wonderful hearing from a family with a passion for something, working to perfect it, and developing lifetime relationships. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing Kenshiro Uki with us.
Minca was the first place that I had proper ramen. Still my favorite Ramen shop.
incredible attention to detail. what a craft.
